i just watched the whole replay tonight and its just bloody brilliant to watch over again - the courage and sheer determination of the boys is just outstanding and it definitely stirs the emotions again

as someone mentioned on another thread, watching it again feels weird as you know whats gonna happen but its still so tense and it leaves you on the edge of your seat chewing the fingernails

there are countless one percenters in the last qtr to give us the victory and it clearly was a team effort. leapin leo taking that grab and the celebration by kennelly will be with me forever and i'll never forget the way it has effected me.

i also love seeing the boys jumping around like lunatics around the red and white confetti whilst roosy's speech was just priceless. and seeing kelly handing over the cup was the icing on the cake

i am just so proud to have followed this club for so long and endured the hard times so its bloody rewarding to see us finally do this. best feeling of all time

ps - yes i shed a tear again
    Roosy = LEGEND

Well I picked a great year to be living in London, didn't I!
Managed to get into the Walkabout Pub at Covent Garden, jam-packed with about 350 other fans committed enough to get up in time for a 5:30am bounce. Support was about 40% Eagles, 30% Swans and the rest neutral but they seemed pretty happy with the result.

When Kirky took that mark near the end I did a spontaneous run around the room (quite an achievement when it's that crowded), and then when Leo took it I just yelled what was left of my guts out. The place was absolutely heaving so we didn't hear the siren either, saw the players' reaction and screamed some more, then tried to sing the song but couldn't get every third word out, it was too emotional.

Hugged my fiancee, jumped up and down, and expressed my condolences to the Eagles fans near me although they turned out to be Adelaide supporters! Said 'thanks for Darren Jolly' to some bloke in a Demons jumper.

Downed a VB for breakfast in celebration, then got through 'We Are the Champions' with the rest of the pub. Then the TV coverage stopped so missed the presentations (bummer), but they played a whole lot of classic Aussie rock over the pub PA, so now 'Khe San', 'You're the Voice', 'The Real Thing' and 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' have an excellent extra meaning for us!

Eventually stumbled out of the pub, blinking into a bright and crisp London Autumn morning. Managed to speak to my mates at the game eventually, cheers guys for buying me that poster!

Can't wait until the DVD arrives so I can relive it all - and see the post-match celebrations.

I'll be back in Sydney for the start of the Premiership Defence! How cool is that!

Yes there was a bit of grog consumed later on, but it all happened so quickly. I think I was in reasonable condition anyway Nico.

Atmosphere in the standing area I was in was fantastic. When we realised it was over (couldn't hear any sirens where we were) everyone went absolutely berserk. We were all jumping up and down and hugging people we'd never met. The one Eagles supporter near us who we'd been exchanging barbs with all game actually came over and gave me a hug and a kiss too, which was very sporting of her. We were then able to get through the gate and get all the way to the fence for the presentation and lap of honour. I had to leave straight afterwards for an 8pm flight as I had to travel interstate with my famil the next morning but it was one of the greatest days of my life. I should also add that the pre-game vibe at the Cricketers Arms was superb.

I was sitting in the second row of the cheer squad and unlike most people I did not feel one bit nervous in the final minutes of the game - I put that down to the fact that I found it hard to believe that we could actually win the premiership. I did not hear the siren but like everyone realised that it must have sounded when Tadgh jumped on Leo Barry. More than a week on it feels as surreal today as it did on the day. There were smiles and there were tears as I tried to sing the song. My eyes still well up when i watch the replay or even try to talk about it. Beginning with the grand final parade on Friday I had the best weekend of my life. Thanks swannies.

we were in the stand at the mcg watching and as soon as the siren wnt we charged out onto the field.

couldnt help but get emotional seeing all the boys excited and teary eyed..especially Bally.

knew it meant so much to them, that it meant even more to us in the end if that possible

It was just a question. Precedents show that questions are okay.
