McVeigh's development seems to have stalled. He's now behind Buchanan and Ablett as midfielders, Moore looks the goods, and Willoughby and Schmidt are likely to be given time in the seniors next year.

It could be a trade beneficial to all parties - Swans can secure a KP backman or ruckman, another club gets a midfielder with talent, McVeigh gets solid gametime.

If Macca does stay then Roos has to give plenty of game time in 2006.

OK, can you suggest someone who has the potential to be as good as Spider and who can help the team win back to back in 2006?

There's a reason for that. It's termed "barely sighted".

I can't honestly, but I just dont want to lose a quality young player for an older guy who wont last as long and maybe we wont get the value out of...

the club must have a back up plan for not getting spida?

agreed. I've always had the suspicion he wanted to end up with big bro anyway. Trade him now rather than have Sheedy have us over a barrel later.

There will of course be the usual bleating about Sydney trading Sydney-born players but whatever...

McVeigh for Richards would seem like a good and reasonable straightforward swap, particularly as Richards wants to come to Sydney and if McVeigh wants to join his brother at Essendon.

Banned - obviously the RWO public are not worthy of sharing a messageboard with the fountain of Swans knowledge

                  "Hay to Kangaroos
                  D.Motlop to Port
                  Armstrong to Port
                  Pickett to Melbourne

                  Plus picks for Hawthorn. "

don't no if this has been mentioned here. 1st big trade deals from another board

                    Really? Why?
I think Macca wants more game time - I remember a few seasons ago they were looking at getting Mark to Sydney but it never went down. Might just be pure speculation

Am happy to keep macca, but a swap for richards would be ideal, although as I posted somewhere else this is my ideal trade - fingers crossed

Powell and McVeigh to Bombers, Richards to swans - second round pick to hawks.
Saddington and picks 19 and 32 to hawks
                    Everitt to Sydney

Maybe pick up Woods or Woewodin in PSD

That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

Did we just sign Paul Chambers?

Can anyone else confirm whether we signed the backup ruckman from geelong? BarrySchneider said so on bigfooty, said he got it from the australian.

Because mny Spida sense tells me he's not going to make it.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Nothing to suggest he's a ********head - always comes over pretty well i reckon.

The Pies treatment of him is nothing short of a disgrace & I sincerely hope he finds a home this year - just don't think it will be the Swans. But I can think of a number of clubs who could find room for a Brownlow Medallist in their list.
