There you have it. As no one has named their pet "Number 14" or
"Number 11" - lets get it back in circulation.

Skilts wasn't a rover either, he was bloody all 18 positions on the field and then some....

In truth, Skilts was named as Rover back in those days but in reality played the role of Rover, Ruck-Rover, Centre, Forward Pocket & Half-Forward while playing in the middle.

You rate his rucking ability Ruckman? I have only seen him in the Wizard Cup game this year. What's your take?

...but he was awesome where ever he played...I only saw him in one game, 1970 semi against StKilda, first game I went to...I was 8, so don't remember much of his play, except for what I have seen on TV

Give it to the guy we draft at #52 and get it over and done with

Agreed P46. Why dont we just start all new players on numbers from 50 upwards and retire any under that for posterity.

Then you would prevent dumb threads like this one from surfacing.

Why is this thread dumb.....I thought it was passionate Swans supporters talking about their team

just give it to someone already - maybe moore or malceski, although it would be add a bit of pressure to them

i do agree about buchanan being a worthy recipient, but i reckon he'd want to carve out his own history in the #32
