If he didn't have the passion or committment to play AFL fine, but by waiting until after the PSD he basically has left North one player short.
Also he has either cost Woewodin his last chance at an AFL career or a young player the chance to get a spot on a list.
It's got nothing to do with his love of the Swans either as according to an interview with Paul Roos he asked to be traded for greater opportunities

Yes it makes Powell look like a total tosser. It also makes the trade look like good business from the Swans point of view. We've lost before with players being homesick for Melbourne so if it has happened in the reverse direction and the Roos didn't anticipate it then "that's footy" and they'll have to deal with it.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment
