P.S. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I haven't slept for a week and a half.

That's a shocker - doesn't matter what you think of the club he's a bona fide wanker for that performance.

Apparently North are trying to talk him out of it - don't know why you'd bother.

Never added a link before but I'll try it.

For those that are interested, here is The Border Mail story on Powell.

Either he's a complete d*<khead or he has a bit of a problem.

Must be problems. He can't be a d***head because Ricky drafted him (instead of Henry Playfair) and Ricky doesn't draft d***heads.

He was drafted in the super draft wasn't he? So i'm pretty sure we missed out on a whole lot more than just Henry Playfair.

If he didn't have the passion or committment to play AFL fine, but by waiting until after the PSD he basically has left North one player short.

Also he has either cost Woewodin his last chance at an AFL career or a young player the chance to get a spot on a list.

It's got nothing to do with his love of the Swans either as according to an interview with Paul Roos he asked to be traded for greater opportunities

If he'd pulled an act like that while on our list you'd all be baying for his blood
True we would be baying for his blood if he screwed us, but stuff Norf.!

This may be a bit off yopic, but how has Brabazon looked so far this pre-season as he is the one you got at pick 61. Could he play a few games this year?

Yes it makes Powell look like a total tosser. It also makes the trade look like good business from the Swans point of view. We've lost before with players being homesick for Melbourne so if it has happened in the reverse direction and the Roos didn't anticipate it then "that's footy" and they'll have to deal with it.
