with that photo of Davis being published on big footy I checked some pie sites and they are furious with that badge and how it shows how ungrateful he is. They are planning real vengeance the next time we play them. He is advised not to travel to Melbourne in the near future.
Pie fans out to lynch Davis

Sick puppies, poor losers, no sense of humour. -
Gross over-reaction by Pies fans, no doubt, but I also question how courteous it is to Davis to plaster that photo all over BF. I know it was all a bit of fun, but would he have posed for it if he'd known where it was going to land up? It is certainly contrary to all his public comments on his time at Collingwood.Comment

Young Nicky probably wasn't in a fit state of mind to know what he was doing anyway. It's hilarious to us, but I know I'd probably be feeling a bit differently if one of our ex-players (say, Licuria, or Shannon Grant) did the same thing.
Ah well.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

They were wandering around Melb last summer saying how they were going to kick our teeth in come rnd 6.
We kicked their arse.
They jumped us in rnd 21.
Have discussed it with many other Melb based Sydney supporters their "passion" is over-rated - actually at games C/wood supporters are quite reasonable-
Can't say the same about S&Don St Kilda and wretchmond supporters.
Anyway their best player will be 32 next year and most of their side humiliated in a GF.
They will be very low on our clubs to be concerned about come next seasonYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

You'd think they'd be over it after a year. I mean come on, we still use Rocca as a bit of a sore point regarding players running home but as if anyone can seriously tell me they are still aggreived by his departure! Maybe Collingwood fans should start concentrating on getting behind their team and helping them win a premiership rather than bitching about events long over. Move along people, nothing to see here!Comment

Nah they're like a busload of English tourists.
Only know something is happening when they are whingeing about it.
C/wood supporters are only happy when they have something or someone else to blame for their failures
Very un PC statement but there you goYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Probably a bit of a silly thing to put on at any time. Hard to blame him when he's probably pretty smashed. Instead I'd blame the silly person who had him put it on, the person who took the photo, and the person who put it on BigFooty. We say it is harmless, and it is, but I reckon the people on this site would be up in arms if any of our ex players had a badge on like that (about the Swans of course)!Last edited by NMWBloods; 4 October 2003, 10:08 PM.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

For mine, I'd probably think such a player was a bit of a bozo but i wouldn't jump up and down and bleat on about it the way they are, unless it was something that had happened within the last week and it had been far messier than the stuff with ND and the pies. Pretty much everyone, including ND himself, thought it was pretty funny at the time, and since when has life become so serious that we can't have a good laugh on a night out in case we offend someone?Comment

can someone please post alink to the pic?
I had a quick look around Bigfooty, but couldnn't find it....The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

The Pie fans (and Eddie) have brought all this on themselves. If they hadn't carried on so much about his departure neith we nor Nick would feel the same need to rub there noses in it.
What did they expect him to do? Crawl back begging forgiveness? I don't think so!Comment

I thought it was a hilarious ****stirr at the time. I still do. I had no say in it getting on Big Footy, but am enjoying the feral Pies trolls chucking mentals over it.
Or have we all lost our senses of humour these days?

Martin you won't find it because I'd rather not get any of us into trouble. If this all settles down to a reasonable level of mirth then i'll repost but otherwise only a select few will have access to sed image. Sorry.Comment
