But who else has worn it?

Who wore #37 before Adam Goodes?

Has number #39 been put into unofficial retirement?

Without a doubt the Number 14 goes down as our greatest number. However they are others that hold special meanings.

This is not a definitive list, as I don't know the nimbers of some of the greats such as Freddie Goldsmith, Herb Matthews etc but from my memory and own personal bias, the most famous numbers of the club are. Feel free to add your own

To my way of thinking we have two numbers that should be revered and that is number 11 and 14.

14 speaks for itself, but 11 was worn by an absolute legend in Peter Bedford, a player who is unlucky to not be in the TOTC in Mark Browning, and the current captain. Pretty good arguement for making it a revered number in the club.

Number 11 is looking very good. I am told by P46's old man who is an absolute expert on Max Papley, that he wore number 11 for all of his career, played 59 games, won the best and fairest in 1966 and was without doubt the most gifted player ever to play for the club. Bob Skilton also shares the same opinion.

Number 3 was also carried by Brian McGowan who was second rover to Skilton for some time and was indeed a very good player.

You forgot the first full back ever to win a Brownlow, the great Fred Goldsmith who wore number 2.
