Originally posted by Nico His game at Victoria Oark in 1977 is still the best individual performance I have seen. My brother has been trying to get a tape for years of the game, which was televised. Don't suppose anyone has a copy of the Footy Replay of the game. Channel 7 reckon they don't have it and it was before videos.
And yep. I was one of those yelling Teaser which happened when he took a mark, and that was often.
Nico, the game was also televised by ABC. and I was also at that game and will remember it forever. Teaser tore them apart. You might try FoxFooty cause they seem to have brought the rights to a number of "The Winners" tapes.
If you do get hold of it let the Board know as I'm sure many on here would love to watch it to appreciate how good he was.
I also remember the game as being one of the few games that David Young played well for us. As a player that was given the number 14, I always thought that Young was going to be a superstar.
Originally posted by ItsAllGoodes I wouldnt mind if we could sort out Max Papley...I think he was 11..and we have had him listed at 11 and 41
Max was definitely Number 11, unless he wore number 41 in the very early days.
My Father (Nico's Brother) has been looking for footage of Teasa's blinder at Vic Park game for years. Apparently he took 27 marks, must have been phenomenal.
