great to see monopoly 19 that not everyone is blind to Rama's inadequacies. Now he has the capacity to be a very good kick but coughs it up quite a bit. Try his right foot and see how he goes. Put him in an ordinary team and he would have very little impact.LIFE GOES ONComment

Why do some people say [Swans player] will only get better with time, but [non-Swans player] is a hack/ordinary/soft/receiver/never get better/etc...
It's as foolish and one-eyed as so many of those people on BF are!!Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I think the problem we have with Fosdike is that he hasnt turned out to be the prolific ball winner we all expected a #3 draftee to be. So therefore we pay closer attention when he does get the ball, and then bag him when he stuffs it up.
The last few weeks, his disposals off both sides have been magnificent. He has hit targets alot more consistently than he had been doing earlier in the season. The problem is that he usually thinks he doesnt have as much time to use the ball, and so he rushes the kick.
Jude's kicking has also seemed to improve in the last few weeks, but if anyone has paid close attention, you will notice he is lacking the confidence to kick to a leading target. If he receives the ball on the wing, he has tended to kick it backwards/sideways to a team-mate in the clear. Im not sure if its because there are no targets in front of him, or hes scared he will miss. His running and set shots at goal also show how he lacks confidence with his kicking - much like Goodes when he was up forward.Comment

We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Would prefer Rama over Fosdike without much difficulty. Likewise for Hayes over Bolton. Could live with a combo of Rama/Bolton or Fosdike/Hayes however.Comment

Ramanauskas is a good player in the role he plays - he doesn't get the ball as much as Lenny Hayes, he's not as hard at it as Bolton (ball winning ability off your own bat, rather than relying on receives), and while I'll admit I was a little hasty in saying that he won't improve (it's the one-eyed thing coming into play), I stand by my statement that he is no better than Fosdike now, and the gap will only increase with time.
Fosdike has shown glimpses of class that as yet have not been sustained. If you compare Bolton, Hayes and Fosdike, it's Fosdike and Hayes that, IMO, are the similar ones. Fosdike has the ability to find the ball (or receive it, more likely) and make good use of it on most occassions. His faults lie in the fact that he does not win enough of it himself as an in-and-under midfielder, which is a criticism also directed at Hayes and that his disposal is sometimes shaky. Fosdike will get better, because he ultimately has the class and skill (greater than that of Ramanauskas).Comment

Secondly, Fosdike and Hayes are probably a better comparison, but Hayes is streets ahead there - both are 'outside' midfielders and Hayes gets aheap more possessions, as well as a lot more clearances.
Bolton might leap into packs more than Hayes, but Hayes gets more possessions and more clearances.
That would make Hayes more effective than either Fosdike or Bolton, and no doubt he will improve a lot too.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
