Jude Bolton put his hand up last night to be traded for McVeigh.

23 posssessions, 7 clangers for goodness sake. I watched him closely and the best I can give him is 4 effective handpasses and one effective kick. The rest was rubbish.

From what I could see he was on Licuria who got almost all his possessions out on his own. Thank our lucky stars he is no champ on disposals.

All he can do at stoppages is sit on the ball, and his centre bounce work is abysmal. Noted an article last week on midfielders. He did not get a mention. Why, because he is not a midfielders boot studder.

Time to go Jude. A fit Fixter will give our midfield the much needed lift, and with Schneides back next week they must look at Bolton's value to the team, other than an article in the newsletter and his interviewing skills.

The difference between McVeigh and Bolton is that McVeigh has some idea how to dispose of the footy.

Jude also is very deficient on pace. Jason Cloke out ran him in the first quarter on the wing. Strewth that is slow.

Sorry mate, not guilty of even a puff.

I noticed that one - that was shocking.

I thought he did a few good things, but as our key midfielder who handles the ball as much as he does, he really doesn't hurt the opposition anywhere nearly frequently enough.

His first instinct is to dive on the ball, which is not good for our game plan of keeping the game open and moving.

His defensive efforts are something I have raised before a few times, and it was evident again as he is rarely near his man.

He makes a good surplus midfielder, maybe the third or fourth one in the team, but he's nowhere near one of the top midfielders, which premiership teams need.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

Frightening stat. He had 20% of the teams clangers. His dispoal is getting worse. A skills coach's nightmare.

I spewed up my Jude Bolton humble pie watching last nights game.

                  Pretty harsh.

I think Jude has a brilliant future and generally delivers well. Point taken about being chased down, that was pretty ordinary.

I like Jude's finishing skills in front of goal. I can't be bothered finding any stats to back this up, but he always seems to slot through important goals. Mathews missed that sitter last night, it's hearsay but I reckon Jude would have kicked it.

Clangers are a worry, but can be worked on.

Can't agree on the clangers Captain. He has been doing it consistently for too long to expect a turnaround. Trade him while he has some residual value.
