If it's not an attack on Jude... then why is the thread called "After the Cats, How can we justify Jude @ $300 000"?

I want him, then I would not mind paying jude.
fair enough... i wasnt working it out exactly just meaning jude is worth 300 in the current market

$300, 000 per season is not big money when you know Gasper is on $500,000 per season and Kouta is on close to $1,000,000 in the last year of a back ended contract. After watching Jude's performance on the weekend I believe the amount that he is asking is just about right. Jude and ROK were by far the two outstanding players for the Swans. Most reasonable commenators would agree with this.

As someone suggested earlier, most Melbourne based clubs would be tripping over each other to plck up Jude for $300'000.

is judd actually talking about going anywhere, or is his 700K pay estimate based on IF he would leave WC?

It depends on what sacrafice hes prepared to make for the team for instances bribanes midfielders don't make 300,000 a season but as a group they are aware of what each other is worth and there importance to the team. As for if hes worth it who knows, is he a good player or more important a required player the answer is yes.

Judd has said before that he doesn't want to leave West Coast and signed a new contract with them last season which doesn't run out until the end of the 2006 season. All this talk on here is based upon the dreaming of footyhead.

As for what Judd could get if he were to leave WC, well he could get $700,000 no problems, but I doubt any club could be able to bid that much including ourselves. At the end of the day however, Chris Judd is very happy in Perth and is under contract until 2006 and the Eagles won't even consider trading him before then.

Did you not see Jude play? He had his body on the line every chance he got.
I am sick (to death) of the constant Jude bashing that goes on this board.
It really makes me wonder if you watch the game at all.
Where do you base your decision that he is not worth $300K? IMO Jude is worth every dollar he gets.

Problem is that once you start earning above $600,000 + a year, more money does not come into it.

It all comes down to lifestyle and unfortunately we can't offer the one thing that Judd wants, which is living in the same state as his family.

I seriously thought this thread would be... we couldn't justify $300k as he is in good form atm, and is worth more!

I would bet that Fhead has never actually taken the time to learn what is the norm for an AFL player. A classic example of the over-opinionated, under-informed football 'expert'.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

That's interesting. You have spoken to him about that, and can speak on his behalf? So I assume he is leaving next year if that is the one thing he wants??

Serious question. Would love to know.

Would love to know this one too... Could you please give the annual wages for the following?

                              This is another serious question.

Have you been living under a rock?

He only said it at half time during an interview with Garry Lyon on Friday night footy in front of 2 million +.

While he said that he had no intentions of leaving Perth, if he did it would be for lifestyle and family and not the money.

Wet Toast are prepared to pay him $600,000+ to stay so he clearly does not need to ring out every last cent in contract negiotations.
