I am glad someone else noticed this! I think he'd make an EXCELLENT midfielder!

Nevermind Bam Bam. I remember a time not that long ago when there was hardly anyone else in the "weak one, soft one, he who doesn't apply himself" fan club
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

I think all the analysis has been great on this thread but personally I think the trade oppotunities might be limited to McVeigh.

The approach that would be taken in my opinion is to increase the turnover of players who havn't shown enough to date. I think that the turnover would come from the following candidates:

Sunny-(not convinced he's got the goods)

James- as someone said, can't work below the knees. He would be playing in the seniors now if he was good enough.

MJ-dificult one, but likely if Ball plays for another year. Has not from reports shone in the ressies.

Fixter-seems to have real injury proneness. Medicos need to advise on his chances.

          Hunt -will go

          Warfe-will go.

I would only consider any of these players and a draft pick for McVeigh. Good luck to anyone who takes them. Young talent is still the answer.

That's 6 off the list. Enough to work in some talented youngsters and keep valuable players like O'Keefe and Matthews. We need players with a bit of BMI, it would be crazy to trade either IMHO.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

I agree with all this, except for James, he obviously has something, and played well earlier in the year.

Agree. It's one of the reasons I'm torn about trading.
IMO the key to longterm success is to build from within (just keep to the minimum 3 draft picks - limited trading).
But this year, we may end up delisting some considerable talent for no gain due to the list limits.
If we can trade 2/3 good-average players + draft picks, for one exceptional player, this would be the year to do it.

McVeigh shows enormous talent and smarts. Will be a quality midfielder very soon. No way he would be traded. Falls into the future leadership group with O"Keefe.
