    Cheers Charlie

Based on everything else he writes, did you expect any less?

    Was very poor taste.

Fosdike, Doyle and Saddington are the bait until tomorrow.

You'd expect something to happen before then.

I think we'll keep Doyle, but it would be great to see Fosdike and Saddington go for a good midfielder.

Are there any good midfielders in the market though?

Crawford for Fosdike & Saddo plas a pick or two?

I would think that BAll may be ready to retire, now that it has been mentioned.

Either that or Ball and Doyle will play down forward.
Ball is obviously not too bad down there....

Absolutely nothing to be gained by trading Doyle, just because we now have Jolly. Why would he be more likely to be traded?
                    We hate Anthony Rocca
                    We hate Shannon Grant too
                    We hate scumbag Gaspar

No idea on who would be available - just a hopeful wish really!

But I would take Crawford for those two.

I got the feeling that Doyle and Fosdike to Adelaide for pick 8 might still be on the card. And whether we are going to do that deal, will depend on the Ottens trade situation.

Speaking of Fosdike for 300K, it is always the case for us that we have to pay 10-15% more for the cost of living factor. Expect us to pick up that part of the bill at minimum when we trade contracted players away.

If Jolly for pick 15 is the only trade we have in the end, it would be a disappointing trade period.

Here's what one Demon fan had to say about Jolly:

Jolly. Well midseason I organised a three way deal with D3T being Jolly to Carlton for Reilly (can't remember how that worked") and a swap of first round picks. But I'm not as bullish on Jolly now. He was injured when D3T and I did that deal but had looked really good in preseason. Our club had high hopes fro him but I think now would trade him in the right circumstances.

When he came back from injury he didn't seem like the same player. He missed 4 weeks with a busted nose from the first Wiz cup game and them about 8 weeks from round 3 or 4 with a knee problem. I'd like to argue that his drop in form was because of injury but on face value he didn't offer much.

The thing with Jolly is that those that are in the know (I'm talking career footy people here) really rate him. He has heaps of "blue sky". And he's about 22 or 23 which means if he comes good it will be now, not in 3 or 4 years which a recruit will do. He is big, tough and aggressive.

Port now have stack of draft picks due to the Carr deal and it is reported by the ABC that they are keen to trade for a mature player so maybe we might end up with a higher pick than 15 if we package up the South Australians.
