Todays recipient of the Ruckman's "Hysterically Screaming Red Queen Award" for today.
You are so correct once again, I should never have doubted you on something THAT IS BLIND @@@@EN OBVIOUS ABOUT THE PRE-SEASON DRAFT.

How many times do I have stipulate the word " COULD " pick up a player through the pre-season draft ???

BTW - Love your work in how you cut and pasted two seperate figures of speech, compiled into one and then gave myself " the award of Ruckman's "Hysterically Screaming Red Queen Award" for today. " - very smart of you champ and such a smart little vegemite.....

For that you deserve the award today of cressakel's "Smart little vegemite who hasn't a clue on what will win the Swans a flag in the next couple of years but will just belittle a legimate suggestion of getting rid of deadwood Award".

BTW - Are the Swans in the business of playing for flags or letting duds see out the career's with a handshake and a gold watch at the end ??

No, they are not in the business of letting duds see out the career's with a handshake and a gold watch at the end, so get rid of them at season's end regardless if it is one player, two players, four players, seven players or eleven players.

Surely finding eleven replacements in the AFL, WAFL, SANFL, VFL, TAC Under 18 Comp, Tassie, QAFL, NT, NSW or the country league's for the players mentioned in the initial thread cannot that hard to find ??!!

Or maybe it can be, hey Ruckman !!!!!!
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Somebody told me, The Killers, Hot Fuss, 2004.

The reason that Roos is to blame for all this that deeper cuts should have been made to the playing list at the ends of 02 03 and 04.

Now we have to effectivly start again !

Depth. What if that other clubs playing group is stronger than Sydneys overall ... making it much harder for a good player to get amongst their top 10?
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

If WC dont win the flag this year, they will be scouring the country side for a decent forward. Goodes doesnt get much of a go in the forward line here because we are @@@@ deliverers and Hall is the main option.
What have WC got an abundance of that they could afford to lose one of: midfielders. Especially midfielders who may or may not become homesick at some stage.

It would be a super trade. Brownlow for Browlow. One of the biggest ever.

In the past couple of reserves games i think Powell has improved

I dont think he should go this year
A little man is sitting in a room with two doors. One door says "Do Not Enter" and the other says "Do Not Exit". So he just sits there, holding his hat.

Agree with this. I saw 2 of his last 3 games and he has been the best presenting forward! Kicked fairly accurately and is a very strong mark.
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

He played very well in a game I watched two and a half weeks ago.

Still not convinced about him though. Even when he's playing well at reserves level there doesn't seem to be much intensity about him and he tends to drift in and out of games.

He's not going to get to play the same role at senior level that he does at reserves level (especially while he is still so slight) and he won't be able to rely on his marking ability to the same degree, without combining it with greater intensity and harder work.

With a bloke like Powell it is hard to assess. Give him a few games in row with the 1's with a fair bit of ground time and see how he goes. He might just get carried along around senior players and become a player. It does happen.
