I didnt hear people booing him. I think Barry is making it up in a desperate attempt to try to get some sympathy for one of the worse players to ever put on a Swans jumper.

You probably didnt hear it because you're stone deaf.

Anyway, unless I am channelling through Bon Bon, I didnt start the "boo" comment as seen on page 1 of this thread.

or 2 of us. I'm with newbie on this one. LRT will be good in a few more years.

As for the sliding ball incident that so many of you found hilarious, I thought he got **** scared for being fined a possible deliberate out of bounds. Yeah it was the wrong thing that he did, but only because he didn't know better. He should have picked the ball up, leant into the tackle, and let momentum force himself and the ball oob.

They'll sit down with him on that one this week I bet.

He'll get there. It may be at our expense at times, but he'll get there. And pay the club back 2 fold.
If u don't believe me, I will knock your bloody teeth out and not pay you a cent.

I think so as well. May not have felt as strongly about this against Essendon earlier this year, but I'm getting more and more convinced each week.

"Sides"? An interesting choice of words.
Of course RWO hasn't been working for what seems like ages. However we're back again and I see you are still displaying your remarkable (and possibly unmatched) powers of schadenfreude.
On the other hand, while I can certainly be labelled pro-LRT, he had a crapper of a game and I believe he should be dropped to the reserves for next weeks game if Schauble is available to replace him (sorry "barry" but I think it's time).
He's improved a lot this year, while he's looked out-of-his depth on occasions he's done a manfull job facing up to Lucas, Thurstans, Hansen and even Riewolt.
However I think his form has started to decline and it's time to give him a spell in the two's, give him a chance to regain some confidence in his marking for example.

In fact I think playing him in the firsts MAY be doing more damage than good, IF as I think it's hurting his confidence more than it's building up his experience.
To quote Leigh Matthews "You've got to be careful you're not sapping their confidence. If he's playing seniors and getting worse and worse you have to send them back to the reserves to regroup . . . "

LRT is incapable of anything. Maybe he's best he just sat at home at watched some tele. I bet if he tried to flick stations he'd press the wrong button on the remote.

I agree with these sentiments. I mean didn't we decide 3 LRT threads ago, that it's best to blood him now when we have the luxury of a firing back line, than post retirements. Couple of clangers yes, but mostly improvement.

His arms are gangley, but so are Dustin Fletchers. Awkward looking, but so is Dustbin. He'll come good in 2006. He'll be smarter and more confident.

While I don't think we should discount the rest of this year, I agree we should all look forward to 2006.
His physical developement between this year and last was remarkable, a similar effort this summer may present us with a CHB with enormous presence.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Give Vogels a shot at CHB!!

With our forward structure now running smoothly, and improving every week, we can afford to let him try his hand down back. Great mark, good read of the footy, excellent foot skills.

Surely it cant hurt! Worst thing that can happen is the LuRTch gets the job again if Vogels does worse than him... extremely unlikely IMO.

I'd prefer to see Vogels and Hall at CHF and FF.

Cant hurt ? This is the business end of the season. We need to win probably 2/3rds of the games remaining to give us a shot at the flag. The time for experiementing young players in untried positions is over.

Schauble: Hasnt done much in the twos last couple of weeks, so a long shot to be more effective than LRT at CHB

I can't see Andrew playing CHB again, on the other hand I don't like LRT or Leo on Neitz either.

For what it is worth he scored 5 in the Champion data (Hally got 170 odd) with 4 disposals to go with the 4 clangers they gave him.

My point exactly!! The LuRTch experiment has failed, and we need another option fast. His clangers on Sat night could have made for a very different story had Geelong converted their early chances.

You cant keep relying on opposition mistakes to cover for your own.

FWIW I thought his best disposal of the night was his kick back to Davis after we were awarded a free. Shame it doesn't count towards his stats

Did Schauble play the week before last? I thought he was still out injured. There's not much he can do if he's not actually playing is there? And how much time did he spend on the ground on Saturday night? You may think I'm stone death, but at least I keep both eyes open.
