    Great game LRT

A combination of poise, control, aggression, determination.

Best game of the year. Cemented CHB at his own.

    Thank god.

Yep, I thought he was pretty good.

At this stage, he's probably locked himself into the CHB spot for a fair while given that there are no real other options. Gives himselvf a real opportunity to improve in that time.

    You must be happy!

He actually beat an opponent fair and square. Tiny steps.

While I'll still be a little nervous when he streams out of defense, I have to admit when the ball hits the deck, I think we're going to win the ball back if LRT's there.

One thing I have noticed is that he does hold his feet very well and is quite good at feeding out the handball.

He's terrifying when running out of defence!

The main thing is still ability to read the ball, particularly in flight but also around the ground, and learning to use his body properly against an opponent.
We'll see over time how far he progresses on these.

Well, playing CHB, you get led to the ball most of the time anyway, so I think he does ok. He's playing a real tagging type CHB, such that the CHF isnt kicked to that often as he's rarely clear.

I know many see him outmarked occationally, and think he's not going to make it, but most backmen do get outmarked. Many quite often (eg Leo Barry). Thats what forwards tend to do.

                I swear you're all mad .

The LRT situation at the moment reminds me of Bush in the 2000 presidential election. Everyone assumes that he will be so completely awful, that when he is simply plain awful, he's regarded as having been good.

                It's perverse.

Haha - yeah, I think that has been the approach to LRT in previous weeks but I actually thought he was okay. Then again, we'll see once I've watched the game again properly tomorrow!

The Hyphon was wonderful tonight but I wish someone would take him aside and give him some goal kicking practice cos if he plays on too many forwards like Holland he's gonna need it. We don't expect him to be in the forward pocket or even 30 metres from goal normally but tonight it happened. Seriously he did a great job and kept his feet when many others were losing theirs on that terrible surface. Wonderful bit of play in the last quarter which ended in a goal.

Agree that tonight was his best game of the season. Kicking is still a worry, as is reading of the ball in flight, but at ground level, he was very very good tonight. Went in hard, kept his feet and won the ball more often than not.

                        Seems there is hope yet!

Thought it was an average game.
He has to learn to give it off NO MATTER WHAT if he ends up in the forward line....

Still would rather have pretty much anyone else in the teams than him.

I thought it was his best game of the season, and that the thing he did (bar kicking for goal) he did pretty well. I still think he spends wayn too much time on his arse and still gets completely lost on occasion. I agree with midaro to an extent. While it was his best game so far he was still ordinary. I t was a good performance relative to his own less than lofty standards.

I've always had faith in the guy and tonight he made some important ball gets and disposals (with his left foot as well). He was also competing in the ruck contests with ball when there was a bounce in the back line and actually made a few hitouts i think (at least 1).

What i'd like to see is him taking more marks. He had some shockers on goal last night but i guess we can forgive him for now because he is working on his defence.

He has my problem. I can deliver really well to a player but am a shocker when it comes to goal kicking. I have to imagine a guy standing at the other side of the goals and try delivering it to him.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal
