The turnover culprits beat us again. Jude what has happened mate.

O'Keefe to the backline, he obviously cant kick goals. Now tell me, why does he not drop the ball straight on to his boot when running directly at goal. Insists on the sideways screw kick.

The biggest negative on the night for me was Barry Hall, this was the game we needed Barry to stand up and deliver he was pathetic and was smashed on the night.

Barry fell into his old "what about me" routine which he regularly does when beaten, I cant cop watching him plead with the umps for frees. Hey Barry go get the ball instead of pleading with the ump.

I know I'll get smashed on this site for this Barry is a good FWD who would start in every team

but he is a front runner,

when the Swans play well and are winning Barry gets a few goals BUT when the Swans are behind and need someone to stand up B. Hall ain your man.

Swans were pretty good but the Swans do struggle on the big occasion on big grounds, just look at our record at the MCG Subiaco and AAMI (v Crows) Freo, West C, St Kilda.

          Let the beating begin.

          Cheers

          Waz

This is the move i would make too. A bit more hardness in the team would be great and the possibility to play Fixter in the backline and release Crouch in the midfield to get some run.
He would have more value to us then Moore at the moment.

              My Negatvies:

              - Barry Hall played one of the most dissapointing games i have ever seen him play. Stop looking for the free just play the ball and if you get the call you get it, but if you don't, don't flap your arms around because you won't get SFA.

              -ROK's goal kicking.....Actually ALL GOALKICKING.

              - Adam Goodes's amazing work unrewarded. If i was him i would be down right filthy on some of his team mates.

              - Players not switching on after half time. They knew Adelaide would go much harder and raise the tempo of the game, but we fell asleep in the first 5 minutes which pretty much was the difference in the end.

He's played the last month or so in the twos, mainly as a forward kicking a lazy 4 or 5 goals a game. Still as hard on the ball as ever, so mentally i don't think he is worried about his injuries.

The only problem with reserves form is that nobody seems to carry it into the big time. Stellar form down there seems to count for nought. I couldn't agree more about Hall, no ump has ever changed his mind so you just get on with it. Though to be fair to him a couple of times, even this season, he has kicked a late, crucial goal so he's not a total frontrunner.

I'd put a slightly different spin on BBBH using what Wazza said. Maybe its because he is a key forward so going in and winning ball out of the centre etc is pretty difficult, but he isn't the type of person who will suddenly decide that he is going to take the game by the scruff of the neck and change the momentum as we've seen from guys like Hird, Voss and Buckley many times over the years.

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

He did exactly that a couple of times last year - just about won the game by himself in the second half. This year he seems to feel he's being robbed (when he is) and plays the victim to no effect.

Watching the short clip in the Ch 2 news last night I saw that after Goodes lobbed our last goal through, he ran back towards the rest of the Swans screaming at them to lift and get the team across the line. That's the captain I want.

I was looking at the stats in the Melbourne paper this morning(as I do each week) and I don't understand Roosy at times. For instance:
Moore: Had two good kicks to the forward line in the 1st quarter then was benched.
Total game time MOORE: 29 minutes (3 poss,1 tackle)
                          SCHNEIDER: 66 mins (4 poss,1 free against)
                          DEMPSTER: 70 mins (4 posss,1 mark,4 tackles)
                          VOGELS: 69 mins (9 poss,3 marks,2 clangers,6 tackles)
Darren Jolly also had 70 minutes for 5 disposals but he is in the team for his rucking.
NO OTHER PLAYER HAD LESS GAME TIME THAN THE ABOVE.
I have a problem with these stats in that we are not getting any depth into our side and we are getting close to September.
In the last quarter we had players who were buggered but it seemed we were reluctant to make changes. That's what losing teams usually do.It doesn't matter who you are,if you arent doing well surely it would be best to come off for a while, watch what is going on and gather your breath and your thoughts.

There has always been too many passengers in the swans team. It makes it that much harder to win a flag.

But when you start making a player who has a serious skill deficiency, a member of the leadership group, and a temporary captain- you have serious flaws in certain parts of the team philosophy and structure.

I don't think we can, precisley because of the reasons you mention.
Roos is proving to be a good couch in the motivational areas and some of his ideas are working, but he is not brilliant. This team needs a brilliant coach, it has too many holes.

I was wondering how much time Schneider spent on the ground. Four possesions in 66 minutes was disgraceful. Also very dissappointing after a great game the week before.
