The fact is Roos admitted that he didn't realise how phenomenal Davo's effort was until he sat down and watched it later. In the heat of the moment coaches have lots of things to focus on.
Originally posted by ROK Lobster I have said all along that Roos talks down his team because of his over-inflated opinion of himself and his reluctance to give a player credit when he thinks he can claim it for himself.
...
Liar or just overly arrogant?

who cares what roosy said..........
Seems that some on RWO are suffering from either extreme frustation or nerves and they feel the need to post something no matter the topic. I will put my hand up to saying that I can't concentrate on much except Friday night or beyond, that is why I probably put my slightly prevocative posting on earlier.
as much as i wanna stick it up the saints supporters i think with the two body intensive games we have just had and the saints week off it looks pointless.
This thread is incredible. We are one match away from a GF and we are fighting with each other (leave this for the queue on Sunday morning folks)
By the way the last thing ND needs at this stage is an inflated head. The press and fans are sure doing a good job of pumping him up, but surely it is the coach's job to bring him back to earth.
Roos in his short coaching career has an impressive record. Saying the bloke has an ego is off the mark.
I would never believe somebody could come up with such a tripe on the eve of our biggest game!
I must admit I'm not confident in our win, but I would never, I repeat, never lower myself by questioning the commitment of our coaching staff to our players. It's the players that should get us over the line not the coaches. They can only bring them thus far, but it's up to the players to finish it off.
I thought it was all quite entertaining and I would have thought quite a welcome distraction for those struggling to concentrate on their lives...
