All I can say is go back and watch the interview 10 - 15 times. He doesn't even say that he didn't know who kicked the goal so the whole argument is a pointless bloody waste of time( Allthough for some reason I keep coming back to check the thread.....damn you all)

Maybe NMW is a bit smarter and knows a bit more about footy than some on this site, and is prepared to say his mind, rather than tippy toe around issues.

His and ROk's comments add to the mix of opinions and stir things up a bit. I doubt whether they are members of the World's Backslappers Club.

I saw signs that Roos was lying during the interview (well, duh, he's a coach) but the two things I read were that:

          1. The Swans prefer the SCG to Telstra stadium despite their claims otherwise
          2. Roos is worried about Hall's form

          This is based on

Body Language of Lies: ? Hands touching their face, throat & mouth.
          Source

But there's a lot of other sources for the same information.

Roos poked his face when answering these two questions but not for others. The missus says I read too much into it. Watch it again if you have the tape!

Not unless it's sandwiched between the "Glass Isn't Full - It's Empty" and the "Wet Blanket" clubs.

There's a difference between rational discussion and seeking out every possible negative in what looks like setting up an "I told You So" ambush on Friday night.

The Swans can win on Friday night - there are only two teams playing. But "the team is crap/they played like crap/they were lucky to win against the Cats/ they weren't unlucky to lose at Subi/ and the coach is a liar" seems like a strange mindset to take to the team's second PF in three years unless you have an ingrained fear of success. And that's from "supporters"!

Have you been reading Cosmo again? Does it work for you in bars, too? And, no, I'm not pointing my feet towards you or tilting my head.

                "Liar or just overly arrogant?"

Obviously haven't followed football long enough or know the names Sheedy, Malthouse, Parkin, Pagan etc. etc. Our coach has no obligation to tell the media everything he knows infact it would be foolish to let the whole world into your ideas and theories, especially while we are down to 4 teams in the Finals.

Arrogant? I think he is quite humble considering he is a AFL hall of Famer, 300 game player and multiple best and fairest winner!!!

Sorry but this topic confounds me and I have to wonder whether it really comes from a Swans fan who should be basking in our success to date and not attacking the Coach over frivolous comments.

So why respond? Let this pointless thread sink to the bottom of the page where it belongs.

Now that's certainly very selective of you...

"the team is crap" - when?

"they played like crap/they were lucky to win against the Cats" - not sure how you can really dispute either of these from last week.

"they weren't unlucky to lose at Subi" - don't remember anyone saying that, but rather we missed our opportunities as well as being unlucky.

Oh well, you know we're not real "supporters"...

The feet thing is fantastic! How many girls do you see pointing their feet the hell away from some overbearing loser in a bar or someone they have had the misfortune to bump into on the street! I love that one! If you think Cosmo made it up themselves, then you need to put on your researcher hat and get to a library.

I am serious about thinking Roos was lying on these two particular issues and it's really no surprise if he is.

After reading this thread all I can say is - DOES IT REALLY MATTER?????

For God sake - the team is in the Prelim final - what Roos says, may have said, or didnt say doesnt matter.

Davis kicked an fantatstic goal - and 3 others, we are in the Prelim final - geez we could even beat St Kilda tomorrow night.

To think I got out of my sick bed to read this @@@@!

Its time we stopped over analysing every teenzy weenzy trivial detail, stopped this one upmanship crap as to who is right, who is wrong who is and isnt a supposed liar. Its footy for crying out loud.

We should ALL be looking forward to tomorrow night and hopefully the Swans will smack the saints and we head to Melbourne next weekend.

lecture over - now pass the codral and schooner of scotch - I'm going back to bed!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
Chickens drink - but they don't pee!
