Lets be realistic. Its not that we cant cover Hall, its just that our whole forward line dynamic and game plan has to be changed 5 days out from a grand final.
Thats why we're stuffed.

I agree and hence why I am feeling so horrible and not really enjoying it.
When was the last time we played without Barry Hall?
And the times Barry has been shut down the team goes all disfunctional.

That's bollocks. If we were that dependent on one player we wouldn't deserve to be there this Saturday.
I don't believe it and I don't think the players will believe it.
A few weeks back we were having a discussion about the one player we'd hate to miss & I think the conclusion was we'd miss Leo more than Hall. I still think that's the case - I'd prefer to be doing it with him (not least coz he deserves to be there) but still feel rather confident without him.

The job would definitely be harder but I'm still mildly confident. The Eagles are a completely different team in Melbourne - despite our much talked about MCG finals record, we generally do pretty well down there.
We would still have a forward line that most sides would struggle against if they all play well. If we have Friday's O'Keefe, the previous week's Davis, Schneider from the 4th quarter against the Saints and so on then I don't think that the Eagles can handle us. Basically, we just need everyone to really perform.
The point is Hall is a presence, he creates goals and he allows the other forwards to take the 2nd, 3rd or 4th defender. With an average midfield compared with theirs and a suspect backline, height wise, they'll be laughing all the way to the bank. Even neutral supporters who want the Swans to win are now saying the game is not worth watching.
