Campbelltown must be filthy they outlayed all that dough for GPS monitors etc only for him to pull up stumps and head out to Rouse Hill. Maybe he can use the GPS monitors to help him find the new ground. I reckon he has been on the phone to every player on the Blues list with an offer already.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out, all the interstate blokes who dont live in Hillsong territory will not want to head out to the new ground, will they head East and follow Mudge to UNSW?.The mail was they didnt rate him at ECE but if it means not having to fork out a squillion on tolls each week they might make the village green home.

Adroit, They told him he was employed to Coach Campbelltown! We see them here, we see them there but we NEVER see any of them at an SAFL game.it's always great to see the AFL Johnny talk about Sydney Footy at the Phelan Night, but when was the last time he was seen at a game? The little White Elf rarely attends either. Gerkinshaw makes appearances but after that......... Where's Mc Fiddon and Daffis?

So, to update the coaching merry-go-round for next season (please fill in the blanks or correct):

        Balmain - Damian Hall re-appointed
Campbelltown - Glenn Garner rumoured to leave. IF that rumour is correct (and it's a big if), who will replace?
East Coast Eagles - Vacant. Rumoured to be chasing Glenn Garner.
North Shore - Michael Hosking re-appointed
Pennant Hills - Was advertised, but Michael Cousens likely to be re-appointed.
St George - Craig Tognolini re-appointed
Sydney Uni - Daniel Archer re-appointed
UNSW-ES - Terry Mudge replaced Matthew Nicks
Western Suburbs - Was advertised. No public announcement of successful candidate yet.
Wollongong - Was advertised. No public announcement of successful candidate yet.

You could be right Spoiler, I must have missed that announcement - having been checking much during the off-season.

After the coaches are decided, then comes the players. With so many coaches changing, will we see significant player movements?

Anyone know when East Coast will actually be starting at Rouse Hill? Maybe Kanga Coach can tell us.

Will he now be referred to as "Eagles Coach"?

                It's official . . .

"The East Coast Eagles Football Club is pleased to announce that Glenn Garner will be the coach of the club for the next two years.

Glenn brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the coaching position and the club feels that in acquiring Glenn as coach it will improve the clubs chances of getting to where it wants to go.

Glenn will return to the club where he played back in season 2005 and is looking forward to hitting the ground running and getting things in place to give the club every oppurtunity to improve on season 2007.

Welcome back Glenn and we look forward to a successful partnership."

Yes good luck to Garns the fringe benefits to leave were way to good to knock back. Campbelltown have three great candidates that have applied and hopefully can announce something in the near future. The player movement will be very interesting to watch over the next few weeks indeed

Well who are the contenders for the C'town job then? I hear that their 18's coach has also pulled the pin for next year. Whats happening down there? Any chance that Ahmat could return?

Wouldnt think that hes any chance if he is coaching the crows as an earlier thread said. The 18's reserves coach are still on board as far as i know. As for the candidates 2 are from out of sydney and one is a former player but you will have to wait and see like everyone else

                                Ironic

Maybe ironic but seems only the last placed Dockers have any real stability.

CTown- are O'Dwyer and Slipper Kershaw candidates?

I expect half of ECE will move to UNSW now.

Overall, the state of most clubs need to build and not simply take players from another club.

Does the Sydafl have a policy for this?
