Interesting that you talk about rumours about yourself, are you creating your own, I have not a read a thread on this website about you going to Wests ... have you let a cat out of the bag.

And the Kassems, I was under the impression that the Goannas were losing quite a few players and the opportunity to play in a higher league was an attraction.

But anyhow, what's wrong with it, it's up to the individual at the end of the day.
Fiddles wasnt poached he and Chook and Nathan Lenton came to play at Blues when we were in Canberra to play a better standard of footy. He then decided to stay as he obviously liked the joint and won a premiership when we came back. But to be honest i think its a good thing that he went back, as i've said before on this thread the amount of player movement these days is tenfold compared to the 90's and prior. There just doesn't seem to be the loyalty that you'se to exsist.I dont think there are to many blokes around over 30 that would ever consider playing for anyone than ther own club but the younger blokes seem to change footy clubs as often as their missus

i guess pace, as a player you need to way up the friendships you make playing footy and what playing with your mates means to you as a player vs playing for an extra dollar or two.. as i've been playing up here for 9 yrs with the same club, i've also played on a number of mates, who once played in the same colour jumper as me. players have different reasons for leaving a club and at the end of the day they do what's best for them at the time..

what your saying is right but it works both ways when players come to the club its up to the club to keep them... whether its match payments or job clubs have connections through sponsors and people involved at these clubs to organise such things.... those mates you have played against after they have left ... di d you have a beer with them after the game..?? if you did then what does it matter who they play for....

I agree there are always going to be cases where people change clubs due to reasons that are uncontrollably, work or moving etc and im not trying to bag blokes for doing that whatever their reason. The point i was trying to make is that it seems to happen alot more often these days and IMHO mainly due to a few extra dollars. I think everyone Knows there are plenty of guys around that get offered big cash every year but choose to stay loyal to there club.At the end of the day there are alot more blokes that happily play for nothing each year then guys that get some cash for doing something that they enjoy. There is always going to be movement but it just seems to be more of it each year. At least it gives us something to talk about

Of course we have a beer with them Rooster you never want to burn your bridges. I think you would understand that it is a fair bit diff for someone like yourself who is from interstate and hasnt come through the ranks with one club since you were a young fella. I'm shore that most of the time you have been looked after and not burn't by the clubs you have played for(especially your last club) and most people who know you also know the effort you put in off the field to help out also. That's what footy clubs are about not just what the individual can get out of them. Im shore you have been dissapointed when guys you have played with have gone to other clubs. Sometimes its even a blessing in disguise after all we dont always like everyone we play with LOL

what i'm saying mate is that it's up to the individual what they ultimately do and who they play for. personally i play footy cause i enjoy playing with my mates and obviously hope to one day take out the ultimate prize. it's frustrateing when blokes you think are good mates of yours decide to play for another club, for what? a few extra dollars?

There is a whisper you maybe headed to Dockerland if you return to Sydney.

You would be well suited there and from all reports recruited a great bunch of young footballers from all over Australia.

A player like yourself would be a real asset to them and they are good blokes on the the up.

Really PHD. I heard that they have lost 7-8 to one of the uni sides in 1st division and are really struggling to get anyone down there. I hope for their sake they have recruited well as after being in a similar position a few seasons ago we found it hard to attract players. Will be interested to see what pans out. I think they are clutching at feathers in regards to ROOSTER though as he has had a good offer to go home and if he did stay he would no doubt follow Kanga to Hillsong as they have the cash and job connections that could help sway him not to go home.

PS And he'd be too scared Kanga might Chicken Wing him

Why does Rooster have to follow? Isn't a Rooster the head and can do as he pleases. If he chose to follow (again) he should change his alias to
                                The Hen!!!

I believe there would be greater job connections at Balmain.
Im pretty sure the Dockers President has a plumbing van and Hall has made more connections than rsvp.

If 7-8 players have gone to 1st division it may suggest that it would not affect 1st grade.

Pace to burn, your thoughts are more burnt out. Maybe need to slow down.

PS- for the The Rooster, many more better looking hens to to (pl)uck at Balmain, city and beaches where Balmain congregate. Unless one prefers the Hillsong sect or chicks at Castle Hill Tav.
