I think it all will depend on how the off-field stuff is resolved, though given the apparent lack of progress (i.e. still awaiting an AGM) they are leaving their run very late.
Unless there is a complete overhaul I suspect the club will fall off the map and the region will fall into Sydney Uni's catchment zone (not a dig at them, just saying they are probably the closest club and are already doing some work with their juniors).
I can't see how Balmain can survive playing out of Marrickville, it defies logic. If it is true as reported that Balmain were forced out due because they could not afford the rent then that is either (a) a blatant sellout by their council or (b) an indictment on Balmain's financial management. Given they have played there for so long I would have thought they would have had the right to stay there so I suspect it is (a).
I would think it would be very hard for Balmain to find a suitable ground within their community, unless this can be secured for season 2015 as part of their re-invention then I think their prognosis is very poor
