Better get used to it Tim. We are in the presence of greatness and seeing the emergence of the new Tom Harley - CEO S-AFL.
Just sit back and admire the depth of his research, his grasp of the detail, the clarity of thought, the pure wisdom........

Just read once again #136 about how Canada Bay Council has blatantly sold out Balmain. Rocket science at its best.

The AFL has NEVER SPENT A CENT on KELSO PARK ...
Anyone who thinks that money spent has any goodwill in it towards local footy should be teaching spiritual moves in the sub-continental highlands - because you can't get your neck & head in that position normally.

Amen, your cup runneth over, Mug. That's about 5 times the sky has fallen in in just the last month. I actually haven't seen one post by a massive fan of the NEAFL or league for that matter on here on any of this stuff - just pretty honest ones from people from 2 clubs in question that they are giving it their best go for now. Balmain issues have been well aired, ya reckon their administration is MAYBE to blame re: oval use more than than the league, the existence of NEAFL or SU who we heard are being forced to play there for NEAFL - also recall they have about 6 other teams who I assume use on-campus ovals still.

Your analogy is spot on saviour01

Sydney Uni are within their rights to be as opportunistic as they like. I get they only care about themselves and in a way that's fair enough (looking after your own backyard etc). My gripe and point is that that this situation (Sydney Uni playing at Balmain, Balmain in Newtown) is insane and the real culprits are the NSWAFL who have let this happen. Yet another instance as to how little they care about the local scene.

Maybe the AFL could take over the Holden plant ... they could guarantee production forever ... one car a year, and they are only $1.2 mill each (including on road costs)!

Congrats and best wishes to Pekay on his engagement and upcoming marriage, which I believe he has selected Grand Final day for his wedding.

Hahahaha thanks Greg. But I have requested a date between October and February. And we have sped up the planning stage of the new clubhouse at Bensons Lane for the reception.

The Baulko Hills Eagles have had to postpone their AGM til end-January, to ensure that they can get a quorum of 12 financial members - how hard can it be to get 12 members to turn up to an AGM ?

Agreed, to not have closed the 2013 season until well into 2014 pre-season not a good sign at all.

Could be other reasons but the lack of numbers is worrying. Perhaps the Baulko faithfull are talking with their feet and time re what they really think about the NEAFL.

I should clarify, we'd be lucky to get 12 to ours as well!

Simply the time of the year gents. The club had many responses asking for a new date due to other commitments which the club listened to and in its wisdom changed the date. You can now all breathe a little easier.
