Does this mean you are paying players?

How is the coaching situation coming along? Hally is not going to be a player coach is he? He has been at more clubs than Tiger Woods but good on him for coming full circle and back to the club to help out.
This guy will probably end up in some sort of coaching role which is why we'll be paying him if we reach an agreement.

Hally won't be the coach, he's doing a lot of off field work and will play if he's picked. Saying that he'd be lucky to get a run on the pine in the 2s at the moment.

Re coaches, we're looking at someone else now and we'll see what happens at this stage.

That is great news. We look forward to hearing about who the big name is.

I am surprised Hally's wife is letting him play!

The best of luck for the year to Balmain.

Maybe you should recruit Tom Harley. Still a local resident and would probably be a fair Div 1 player.

Surely Hally would get a run in the two's if you're only getting 25 at training

Does that number include the 2's and 19's?

Eagles recruited Cass x 2. I can't argue with that, it makes sense for the Cass boys to go somewhere closer to home.

We're currently getting 20-25 training plus apologies from about 6 that get stuck at work or whatever. Last year and for most of the years before that we were getting 4-8 players to pre-season training. So I think we'll be ok to get two teams on the field each week.
Good luck to the Tiges in 2014, hope you can move home to Balmain asap and kick out the squatters

Tom Harley would be a gun PD player, he's a massive mobile unit and still ridiculously fit.

That number includes the 2s but not the 19s. There's a fair few of the 2s that will start to come down over the next few weeks due to work and family commitments

I had a look at Glover st oval the other day and it's not a bad oval. It has a lot of potential and is in a great spot on the bay run and next to Leichardt gym and pool.

We'll be training on Glover St oval and it comes with access to one of the buildings... Very convenient for some of us BYO Straight Jacket

PS the old committee gave up Drummoyne Oval, we weren't kicked off by NEAFL or Uni.

Is it worth asking what the logic behind that is? Who took over in 2012?

There is no logic with this group Pekay....just self interests involved!

Is there any reason why Sydney Uni and Balmain cannot ground share Drummoyne Oval? It would help reduce costs for both clubs I imagine.

Clubs working together...is that such a revolutionary thought?

I'm asking the same question... why would you give up an oval like that? It's like giving up Scarlett Johansson for Rebel Wilson

No one took over in 2012, it's the same mob from around 2006/7 that started the whole dockers partnership.
