Its at Homebush, but no 2nds. The gates open at 5pm instead.

Will there be something on before 7? Or a whole bunch of nothing? If there is nothing, the people there could take the chance to get some songs/chants happening so people could learn them before the game.

We could always go through a few over a beverage or two at the Brewery before the game. Those of us who have to go out on the banner normally don't need to be in the ground until 6ish from memory.

There were a few threads about songs & chants on RWO. But I fear that they were from the re-jig of the site in 2003/4.

We DO have lots of songs that the futbol-supporting crew in our midst love to belt out. We just need like-minded souls (and people around us who will not tell us off for singing them )

          I Agree.

Ive been sitting in the Noble Stand for the past 10 years or something, and as the years go by, the croud seems to get quieter and pretty much alot more boring. Lol all you hear is the occasional scream and use of bad language but thats about it. My friend and I sit there screaming and cheering trying to get the croud pumped, but they all sit there like its the end of the world, and then we look like complete idiots. (Lol Oh Well).
I think its a good idea having a CS at each end of the field aswell.
Oh and im really eager to do those mexican wave things or whateva their called, lol i havent done those at a game in like years.

          Cheers

I sat behind the cheersquad for the Carlton game two weeks ago and they had a chant for Lance Whitnall:

            Who ate all the pies?
            Who ate all the pies?
            You fat bastard,
            You fat bastard,
            You ate all the pies!

            Very amusing.

I had an idea for a chant once, don't know if it will work, especially because it needs a bugle.

Imagine using it late in the game (second half), we've been a few goals down, we've just kicked the last three goals and one or two goals more will put us in front.

            Then you unleash this:
da da da da da ... CHARGE!

Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before, but sumthing i've heard the geelong chear squad do before and it sounds pretty cool is to do "Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi" except use the player who kicks the goals name instead for example, if Barry Hall kicks a goal the chear squad could go

              "Bazza Bazza Bazza!,
              Oi Oi Oi.
              Bazza!
              Oi.
              Bazza!
              Oi.
              Bazza Bazza Bazza!,
              Oi Oi Oi."

              You get the idea.

                I'd expect that from Geelong.

Mexican waves are a blight on sport, any sport, but particularly footy. The habit in Sydney of throwing up nearly-empty beer cups at the same time makes it even more disgusting for those of us who don't want to be covered in beer dregs.

More the players than refs..don't think the chants for the refs would go down to well in the CS, if directed at the umps
