So being about the best tackler in the comp counts for nothing. His work at around the ground stoppages has always been good. He is our best in and under player yet Cox moved him to the HFF. But he has done that with Warner and I suspect this is to stay within the 75 rotations a game. Rowbottom is a keeper. WE need his hardness and competitive game at the coal face. He is still better than Sheldrick who's disposal lets him down too often.

I would have loved to see him be allowed to chase his own ball at the coalface but it doesn't look like it's going to happen, Has George Hewett vibes.

Sheldrick did get better but Rowy is king of the dump kick at Sydney, maybe that is frame of mind as he is defending first and not after the ball

I was at the game v Saints at Marvel and his desperation and pressure up forward, and in the midfield, especially in the last quarter, were instrumental in our win. Rowy is needed in midfield- it’s simple as that. Yes, Gus needs games but he’s still a way to go. Are we ever going to see Mills on the ball? He’s been needed down back as we’ve been a bit porous there but surely he is more value at the coalface?

JJ is exceptional at what he does
Rowy just needs to be able to chase it and be a threat, I rate him better than Hewett and look how he flourished when he was allowed to chase it

I still believe he can be more of a ball winner than what he is. At least I hope so, pretty grim for him if he can't.

Any team with half of what we have in and around the middle isnt playing defensive. We need everyone to hunt the ball.

Interesting we haven’t officially have an offer in front of Buller (we may and it’s not in the media) I hope we keep him regardless, he was the WA U18 fullback in his draft year (played in the ruck as well) so couldn’t we use him down back or at least trial him
