He played pinch hitting ruck in the WAFL 2 yrs ago while averaging over 15 possessions, has good upside.

Ladhams won't stay, be rough to lose 2 talls

In the 'trade bell' section of the Whateley program on SEN this morning, Sam Edmund suggested Collingwood was interested in Jack Buller. Also intimated we have interest in Finnbar Maley of North.

Maley is a significant downgrade on Buller from what I've seen. Why would we be thinking of doing that?

This time of year about 250 players are mentioned in trade rumours, 10% actually happen!

Agree not many of the Trades happen but fringe uncontracted player movement is normally pretty accurate

Just wondering if the club is seeing Maley as a possible replacement for Ladhams should he find opportunities elsewhere?

Collingwood's interest in Buller partly explains why he hasn't re-signed yet, along with the ongoing Curnow saga. Buller is now in a position evaluating his opportunities at the club after getting a taste of senior footy, when all our KPFs are available.

As far as I can tell Buller doesn’t have a contract in front of him yet (not reported atleast)

He would have to have something in front of him

                Will flourish elsewhere

I could not agree with UU more on Buller. .Far too much potential to let go. I suspect he may well be in our top two fwds by this time next season.

Buller signature or more lack of a real worry. And so is whether a contract has been offered. Maybe he is too tall for us as small fwds suits cox more.

Cox to me is the biggest question mark going into next year.

A coach that thought we had enough down back without Tom McCartin (read that 100x simply mind numbing) and a coach that had his main talls unavailable but chose not to play the ones that were available

If anyone in that coaching department thinks Mclean is a Ruck of any sort they must be watching a different game to me. Half the reason Im not fussed if he gets traded, not because he isn't a good fwd but because those coaches think he is a ruck.

Will be a frustrating year if we handicap ourselves each week at selection.

Cox tried McCartin up front due to Logan’s unavailability- as a first year coach, we must cut him some slack. Admittedly, the selectors made some strange decisions during the year and often got them wrong but they were hampered by all our injuries and relative ordinary performances in the two’s.

I’m happy to see how Cox goes in 2026 before making a call- he certainly improved towards the latter part of the season and the players seem happy with him and responded to his spray!

did not know that Buller also played some fine games as key defender in u18's. reads play well to defend were comments i just read. MORE URGENT we get his signature. Surley we can offer more than Pies in terms of $ and years. Maybe nor so for west coast. Swansa extract you know what

You can see by how good up the ground he was that he is a Sam Reid type.
Money isn't the main issue, id say it's more opportunity, he isnt going to stick around as the backup. At least at the Pies he has age on his side with more guys closer to the end

Like Ladhams, he would be a real visionary to see how he fits in that team with a healthy Logan and Amartey

The plan was for Tom Fwd all year regardless of Logan, he didnt even train down back during pre season.

He even said Blakey is tall and can play on KPF.
Wilbur and Heens play tall so put them on a tall
Mclean to ruck to make the fwd line small

That last paragraph is like a scouting report for a coach playing against us not for us
