    Changes for Round 13

Roos held off wielding the axe for the game against the Pies, but its undoubtedly time to make some changes.

If there is anything positive to take out of this loss, we will be able to see Vogels, Malceski, Doyle, Moore or Schmidt in the next game.

Doyle is fit - must come in for Chambers.

Vogels for Richards. God damn, he almost cost me $800 on a new tv.

I dont think any other changes will be made, but I'd love to see any of Malceski, Schmidt or Moore for Mathews. If fact, give Spriggs a run in place of Mathews.

What it showed is that a few cracks are showing. Not in our ability to produce good footy, but a couple of players havr dropped off the pace. We need to throw in a couple of youthful players NOW.

The pace of Collingwood killed both Mathews and Richards and probably a couple of others. I thought our forward line pressure was ordinary. Time to throw Davis onto the ball.

      I'd like to see:

      OUT: Chambers, Richards, Mathews, Ablett

      IN: Doyle, Vogels, Schmidt, Malceski

And space for Dempster and Willoughby at some point.
      And Moore and Grundy too.

I think Crouch is still really struggling to find this year too.

McVeigh is still borderline too IMO.

The commentators spoke many times of Collingwood's balance of of youth (5 youngens) and experience. We certainly need to kill 3 birds with one stone by giving our kids a game, getting rid of the dead wood, and keeping the young potential talent at our club at the end of this year.

Agree. Might be the wake up call Ablett needs.

Williams has also been a bit out of sorts lately.

Crouch hurt his shoulder in the Hawthorn game. Since then his tackling has been poor. Why not take him from the tagging role and play him as running midfielder to give him a new lease on life.

What Im worried about is we make one change this week, scrape by against Freo, then keep the same winning team against the Crows despite the fact that we still have passengers.

And yes, Crouch was completely hopeless against Didak. I know the Pie has been in red hot form, but the tagging job was a complete mission failure tonight.

McVeigh kicked a great goal in the 1st quarter but not much else.

His kicking is too poor to play as an attacking, running midfielder.

                    Is Ben Mathews colour blind?

If he isn't then he should be dropped.

On second thought, even if he is, he should still be dropped.

Geez, Mathews was so anonymous tonight that I thought he must have went off injured. If only...

                      I'd like to see:
                      Out: Mathews, Richards (omitted)
                      In: Moore, Vogels

                      We'll probably see
                      Out: Mathews (phantom injury)
                      In: Bevan

Crouch is playing terribly at the moment but I'd struggle to find anyone to take his position.

I reckon Dempster would have done a better job on Didak than Crouch did.

Yep, Demspter on Didak and Crouch into the midfield to tag Burns or one of the other knobs.

My thought exactly. I don't recall seeing him out there a single time. Did he touch the ball.

To add to those who need a kick up the backside, I'd put Davis on the list. I haven't been a Davis-knocker in the past but some of his second efforts in the forward line tonight were dreadful.

If he's fit enough to play in midfield I'd give him a run there. Otherwise - and I know it won't happen - a week alongside Grundy and Prior would give him time to reflect on things.

Davis's attitude sucks atm. He has completely dropped his head and it looks like his frustration with him getting ignored on leads etc has gotten to his head.

However as i said in the other thread i would like to see

                              Out:
                              Richards
                              Chambers (useless)
                              Mathews

                              In:
                              Vogels
                              Shaw
                              Schmidt/Moore/Malceski

Ablett and Williams are really struggling atm as well.
