It'll be hard to find enough time for Doyle/Chambers/Shaw to get a chance to impress rucking in the magoos (kind of lucky Ericksen is out).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Since its impossible for these two to play even half decent footy, can we reasonably assume we wont see them back this year?

That's a bit harsh, would you want to take one of them on in a footy match?

Wrong reasoning. We are not AFL players. They are not performing at the level required.

                  Goodes into the ruck??

                    Good call.

Bevo was a bit disappointing last season, but I'm not prepared to write him off yet. He was pretty good in his debut year.

How many people wanted to give him the #14 jumper a couple of years ago, and delist him last year?

On the w/e the paper had a list of players on their last legs at each club.

                      Ours were

                      Doyle
                      Spriggs
                      Vogels.

The first two I agree with but I hope Vogels can take his oppotunity and prove he is worth keeping.

There are probably a dozen players (including some of the current rookies and some yet-to-debuts) that I would prefer to see leave before Vogels. As far as KPP depth goes, he is pretty much "it" at the moment.

I wonder if Spriggs (and also Willoughby) have already been told they won't be here next year and that they won't be considered for senior selection. On form alone, both deserve to be at least mentioned in dispatches of those pressing for selection yet their names have been curiously absent.

I'm pretty sure that article was more suggesting Vogels may have to look for opportunities elsewhere as he should be a first team player.

And lay off Bevo, he's a local product, something we need more of and deserves at least a handful of senior games to find his feet again. By all means lay in if after that he hasn't performed but at least give him a chance........ all of you!!!!
