Goodesy will smash him way to much stamina and class for hirdy.Hird is past it he is only good in the forward fifty.

Plugger was only ever any good in the forward fifty............

As much a I love Goodesy, I can't agree that he has more class than Hird. Hird is an amazing footballer even in the twilight of his career.

It'll be interesting to see how many premiership players are in the 2's this week (Mathews, Crouch, Davis, Fosdike?)

Not true... he sometimes kicked it from 60 out and it still went through.

Then there was that game against Essendon with the injured groin, the 55m kick after the siren... that was a nice night

Agree. You only had to watch the game last week to notice his class - he is worth 5 or 6 goals to that side.

Goodsey can play any where on the paddock Hird cant, there for more class and more scope in his game.

Why do we had to play Essendon just when they are coming good...we couldn't beat them at the start of their 0 - 15 run!
I remember saying that we would come to regret that disgraceful loss...just look at the ladder at the moment & see the difference in comfort / hope it would have meant.
Meanwhile..what changes? Grundy & Phillips were non existant...Schmidt would retain his place ahead of both.
Fosdike for Phillips, Davis for Grundy, & anyone for Richards please. Doyle if he can stand up...last chance.
Do we have anyone talking to MOL about his kicking...hope so!

Hird can, and has, starred in every position except ruck.

He is an absolute champion and Goodes is not at his standard yet.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Hird may not be quite as mobile as he was when younger, but he can play anywhere on the ground. He is probably the closest player to Goodes in the AFL as an all rounder.

Bolton, C. for Hird. Big job for LRT on Lucas. Leo saying a little prayer that Lloyd's not there.
