    Davis still not chosen

Any chance of him listed as emergency?

I am really fed up with this.
Seems there could be merit in Morwoods comment Davis wont play this year or next for the Swans.

Roos is really being unfair challenging Davis to get fit and form and now he has tough we dont need you.

Come on Roos give him a go. Dont drop Davis forever. The Swans and fans want him in Swans colours for 2007 too.
    Love those Swans

As long as Davis puts in the hard work he will be back. We need a firing Davis in time for the finals. My prediction is he will be included for the Brisbane game.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I know your opinion of Davis. You have sprouted it often enough. If he trained , chased, put in, kicked goals and was a great player as you seem to think he is then it follows that it has to be the fault of our self centred no nothing egotistical coach that is obviously holding some sort of personal grudge against the 'star' of our team.

I don't think the opinion of a foolish tool like you is valued by anyone at the club. Fortunately a numbnut I may IYO be but my assessment of Davis is obviously closer to those held by the real decisions makers at the club. Yours isn't.

Who will travel south? All 3?

Phillips must have lost some form and fitness.

Its all part of Roosy's plan. He'll sneak in Davis under the guise of an emergency, when in fact Fosdike has been declared unfit for this game. This will alleviate the pressure on good ol' Davo not only from the Sydney media but from the Geelong throng who would be baying for his blood.

                Very Bloods-like.

I thought he was coming in as an emergency last week to avoid the media spot light. It's like Schaubs last year. Right til the end we hoped that it was a Roos ruse, only to be disappointed come 2.10pm (or 1.10pm, or 7.40 or whatever if playing in a western time zone)...

AFAIK nobody has knocked his training. The stats show he chases more effectively than any other forward on the team and his goal kicking is A-OK. I think you have worked out the implication of this all by yourself.

There is no question that a fit and healthy Davis when on song is an exceptional player. Regardless, I would be reserving my opinion on the whole episode a few more weeks - We keep winning without him (GREAT), they bring him in and he stars (GREAT once again).

He does bring a certain X factor into the team - I doubt we will ever forget what he did in the Semi last year, although I still perhaps have a rather "blind" faith in what Roosy is doing with the team.

Winning doesn't necessarily mean good form. For example, if you play just an average game and just get over lower-ranked teams then it doesn't mean you will be able to beat the good teams, and that's what you need to do in finals.
