One of the key elements to our run last year was the lack of team changes. Aside from Bevan/Vogels there were very minimal changes in the last 2 months. Bevan only came in out of necessity to play on small forwards, knowing that we werent in as much need for that as we were for another forward in Vogels.
Bring In Davis, but who for? He doesnt demand a spot like Craig Bolton or Barry Hall would. He didnt go out due to injury, he was dropped. Therefore to get back into the team, he must take the place of someone not performing or injured. After last weekend, noone deserves to be dropped for him according to Roos n Co. (I personally disagree due to a dislike towards Richards). But blokes like Bevan and Dempster have done nothing wrong. They earnt thier spot, werent given it due to injury.
Davis can just wait in line n get a number
- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Ted Richards?
My Pokemon brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "Wanna trade cards?"
"Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I can beat you, I've got Charizard!"
And Spriggs is still not even named as emergency. He is part of the "Best Players" list almost every week for the reserves and cannot even get a game.

The coach isn't supposed to tell us the whole story. You are a nobody, I am a nobody, his sons are nobodies when it comes to footy club information. The only people that matter are the parties concerned ie Roos, Davis, the selectors, and the team. The world really isn't that difficult a place to live in if u all just played by my rules. sheesh!

We all know Davo is in the best 22 when he's going - but there's a simple fact that when he was last in the team we were 8-6 and a large majority of people on this board were calling the season over and well and truly jumping off the bandwagon.
Since he has been out, we have a two point loss to West Coast and four straight wins.
He missed two games with a hamstring early in the year - we won both.
In short:
Swans without Davo - 6 wins 1 loss (from 32 points up at half time)
Swans with Davo - 6 wins, 6 losses
Read into that what you will
Good post, but I can see the replies already

Originally posted by BeeEmmAre We beat Geelong (5), Brisbane (6), Richmond (16), Port Adelaide (17), Essendon (18), Melbourne (19).
Cats (home) and Lions (away) were going okay back then, Tigers (home) and Bombers (home) were coming off wins, Power was away and Demons were away and ranked above us.
All good wins to me.
The comparison of our W-L record with Davis' games is rather specious, not to mention the problems with your assessment of our opponents.
Geelong were in the middle of their losing period - they won only 1 of 8 games.
Brisbane were on the bottom of the ladder with just one win and 69%.
Richmond had just been beaten by Melbourne and were thumped by 103 points the following week against StKilda and lost to the Bulldogs the week after.
The Bombers were "coming off" a win - their second for the season!!
The Power had won just 6 games for the season and we could manage just 10 goals. It was during Port's streak of six losses.
Demons were missing about half a dozen of their starting line up and had just lost the previous game to Carlton!
So, I don't think you actually based your response on any research - it seems more like you simply made it up.

Not all Swans fans. I want to see the best players selected each week from those available. If Davo shows his skills and commitment are better than anybody else up the front then I'd be happy to see him play, otherwise he should simply accept that he's not good enough to make it back in. And so should the rest of us!
