    Oh man, what a relief!

My wife's dopey friend decided to get married that weekend (some people have no idea) so it was going to get ugly trying to get to the game.

I couldn't go last year as I was on the road, but this year I'm free that weekend, so I was buzzing when I got home today - until I was reminded about the bloody wedding...

But now it's all good. YAY!!!!

So with an 8pm start (rather than 7.10) are they going to extend the train period by an extra hour.

Nope. Everyone who isn't out of the ground by 3 quarter time can just walk home. Including the Demons/Freo players.

They usually are available, but you'll have to wait until the following week before you can buy them.

How can they clip the card?
I was thinking of giving the card to someone at work to use, so that they could buy some tickets. Will the barcode number suffice for buying tickets over the phone?
In Melbourne, everything is done correctly with the barcode. No clipping of cards anymore.

So yes when you buy the tickets (either over the phone, internet or in person) the barcode numbers will be retired and you won't be able to use the cards again.

In Sydney however this does not entirely work as the ticket agency either can't cope with system or it just chooses to ignore the system.

This is a real shame as members who have shelled out the cash for a membership should be entitled to get the best available seat before people start buying tickets for friends with multiple transactions on certain cards.

But it does show that the game will be a hot sporting ticket when friends start asking for a ticket.

Can the AFL really be serious about footy in Sydney by making the cheapest tickets for the swans final ($70.10) more expensive than the most expensive tickets ($66) to a final in Perth.

And the cost of premium seats are over $100!!!!!!

                      Here's the comparison

                      Standard Ticket
                      - Sydney $70.10
                      - Perth $50.95

                      Prime
                      - Sydney $85.40
                      - Perth $58.65

                      Premium
                      - Sydney $100.70
                      - Perth $66.10

                      What a joke!

$ 100 a premium ticket - OUCH - bad time for my brother and family to come to watch their only game of the year at my expense.

Hope the investment guarantees a SWANS victory!

I won't be going to the Prelim (again), but rather plan to line up. I don't think I can afford both Prelim and GF tickets, and I know what I'd rather (IF WE MAKE IT, OF COURSE).

Anyway, I should have a few spare spots on my queue ticket, which should hopefully be an early one, so like last year I'll happily offer them to any of the RWO faithful who'd like to join in. PM me if you're interested.

PS. this is all if we make it. I understand it is by no means in the bag, and I am just planning in case we do win.

Ticket prices always get progressively more expensive from week 1 to the GF. You can't directly compare a PF price to a SF or QF price.

Thats what you get for living in sydney.$100 thats fair in my book,GF tickets cost about $200 so $100 for a prelim ok.You cant compare prices from Perth to Sydney 2 totaly different places.Sydney is the most expensive city in the country.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Can someone please explain what the limit of 10 tickets per transaction for the PF really means?

Say I've got a pocketful of memberships cards, which I do, that entitle me to 28 tickets (7 cards times 4 tickets per card).

Can I not simply make three separate credit card payments, one per 10 ticket transaction, or is the transaction limit linked to my credit card number?
