You can only purchase 10 tickets at a time, and then you go to the end of the line.

Or ring up or go online. If you use your credit card, you can only buy 10, and then you have to re-entry the system. Or this was the proceduce last time, and god only know what will happen this time.

Just try it, and see what happens. Basically, as long as you have your membership cards when you pick up the tickets it will all be cool.

Also, on the same week the Swans play their preliminary final, fans going to see the Crows prelim final at AAMI Stadium will only have to fork out between $56 to $87.

Even the cheap seats to the rugby league grand final, held at Telstra Stadium, cost less than the Swans prelim game [$45-$145].

First point, kills JS' argument that ticket prices always get progressively more expensive from week 1 to the GF, and the second point burries swantastic's argument that it reflects the cost of a major football final in sydney.

Lets just see it for what it is: The AFL trying to rip us off for as much as they (think they) can!

Of course the die hard supporters will attend no matter what the price, but I really hope these high ticket prices dont result in there being a whole bucket of unsold tickets to the game. (Not that the AFL cares: eg the Port Power final at AAMI a couple of years ago)

There aren't that many Premium seats, about 7-8000. Most are Prime @ $85.40. We will be trying for Prime seats in our usual area of Aisle 107, but I think we have virtually no chance of getting them.
What surprises the hell out of me is the huge area set aside for Telstra members. Usually they have Level 4 in the Western Stand, but they struggle to fill half of that!!
Their ticket offer closes at 9pm tonight, so I may suspect that alot of their seats will go on sale to the public on Friday.
We will be buying our tickets from Parramatta Leagues club @ 9am.

As there won't be a Preliminary Final in Perth yoiu are not comparing apples with apples. Every year, as you get further into the finals the prices increase.

Premium had all sold out by 9.30am this morning when I got to the front of the queue. Managed to get some decent looking prime.

Though (as Des pointed out - he was a few behind me in the same queue) no doubt they'll find some more premium to release later in the week.

Can I suggest you check out the prices of the prelim in Adelaide before making that claim.

And after that, perhaps feel free to thank the people who agitated the AFL yesterday and convinced them to add a "Budget" ticket category and incorparate the ticketek booking fee into the ticket price rather than being added on to the price, making attending the game at Telstra more affordable for everyone.

Yep, I think that a lot will be saved for Freo/Melbourne's members, then released back to the public after their member's only period.

I went to the Elizabeth Street Ticketek, the queue was pretty much back to Market Street by 9. I got there at around 7 and there were around 35 people in front of me, I had my tickets by around 9:30- 3 in 110 and 3 in 104

Same thing with Premium all gone- parking was apparently showing as sold out too, I assume that means it just hasn't gone on sale yet.

I was at Fish Newtown and there was already about 30 people when I got there at 8.30. Most of the people directly in front and behind me were going for the standard tickets - maybe us inner westies are all cheapskates! But we got pretty good seats, close to where we normally sit in the Members Reserve.

Now that I've got the tickets sorted, I can focus all my energy on freaking out about the game.

sorry but TS members forked out $10k up front (plus a high yearly fee) for the priviledge to have that many seats reserved, its no different to SCG mebership, MCG membership... TS members ALWAYS get 1st level, 4th level and a bit of the 6th level if ticket sales are high for all games ouside season ticket games.
there should be no surprises here .

Yeah we had no real interest in paying through the nose, (if we win) the following week will cost a bucketload.

We got 8 seats in the members reserve area, high enough up for a good view.
