    Hi all,

I'm in Taipei, but just got an e-mail from my mother, a Swans member, in Sydney, who's too scared to post on RWO.

She's just bought PF tickets for herself and a friend, but her friend asked her to buy an extra ticket, which she no longer needs. I expect she just wants to recoup the cost of the ticket, it was $84.50, Gate O Aisle 136 Row 11. It's just one ticket, if anyone is interested, PM me for her contact details.

Swans fans have too much money
More than 20,000 tickets were sold to Swans members yesterday, which the AFL said exceeded expectations. Three years ago, when the Swans hosted a preliminary final against Brisbane at Telstra Stadium, only 13,000 tickets were sold on the first day.

The eventual crowd was 71,019, making it the second largest for an AFL game at the venue behind the 72,393 that watched Sydney play Collingwood in round 21 of 2003. That still stands as the record for a game outside the AFL's Melbourne heartland.

SYDNEY'S preliminary final at Telstra Stadium is poised to become the highest-ever grossing AFL game outside Victoria.
People on here are going to love to here that.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

According this this article there has been over 30,000 tickets sold.

With early ticket sales on track for a record 80,000-plus sellout crowd, Friday week's game stands to generate more than $6 million at the gate.

And the AFL's massive windfall could increase by another $1 million as a result of merchandising sales on the night.

By yesterday afternoon the AFL had sold more than 30,000 tickets for the Swans' final against the winner of tomorrow night's semi-final between Fremantle and Melbourne.

WE could start a poll to try to guess which posters scare her the most. I know who I'd vote for.

Hahaha...very funny. Actually she doesn't even lurk on here (to my knowledge), so put your polls away. I think she's merely scared of becoming addicted...like I am.

Anyway, the ticket has been sold.

                Travelling to Telstra

Being a libran I'm undecided as to whether I should drive to TS (and park in P3) or if I should use the buses.
Anyone any idea of what time the buses are scheduled to start? I've tried to find out but there doesn't seem to be any info at this stage.

The info on the buses usually arrives at the stops about 3-4 days pre-match so I'd guess Monday or Tuesday the timetables will be up.

Remember if you drive you may face extra challenges with people driving straight from work who'd ordinarily catch transport etc.

well just did a dummy order for 10 tickets for Friday night and they are now selling on Level 6 (eastern side).

80,000 people is now a certainty to happen.

We need all Swans fans to be at their best on Friday night.

There is only so much atmosphere that the cheersquad can do.

The rest is up to you.

                          Have beer, will do so.

This bring backs memories of 96!!!!

Anyone up for storming the ground after we win.

Apart from a small fine, the only punishment is being banned from testra stadium, which might just make it worth the while.

WEST COAST is equal favourite for the premiership with Sydney, at $2.60 at TAB Sportsbet yesterday. The Swans had been at the top of the market when betting was re-opened after the two semi-finals, with the Eagles at $2.85, Adelaide at $4 and the Dockers at $7. But the money started coming for West Coast on Monday, forcing its price to $2.70 and eventually to equal favouritism. The Crows went to $4.25 and Fremantle to $7.50.
In preliminary finals betting, Sydney is at $1.30 to take care of Fremantle ($3.30), while Adelaide is the outsider at $2.20, even though it is at home to West Coast ($1.62).
