I hope we win, of course. If the Dockers do get up I will watch the GF with interest to see if they can claim their first flag, and if they lose, their fans can look forward to next year and future seasons with optimism.
Let's not get too nice - a grand final berth is at stake. For one week Freo is our arch enemy. We hate them this week. Remove one eye at the game, give Farmer a gobful, boo every Freo goal, glare at the sixteen Freo supporters who make the trip across the Nullabor and after the final siren's gone and we're each planning how we're gonna get down to Melbourne for the GF, wish the Freo supporters well for next year so long as they arent playing us.

Troy Cook - we got rid of him because he was, by Swans standards, soft and short on courage!

That Irish bloke's okay for a jig or two, but that O'Loughlin character is an absolute cream puff - even the West Coast 'Blob' on the boundary intimidated him!

Can't believe Captain Kirk made it into the All Australian team and Farmer didn't! You Sydney lot are being well looked after by 'Eyebrows' and the AFL heirarchy.

Me and the other 15 supporters coming across the Nullabor will bring a few AFL rule books with us to share around - I know it's a tough game for rugby people to understand.

Should we bring our dresses for the Mardi Gras as well? Don't want to feel out of place...

            * Is that enough love?

Just having a sparr with the Rok... all a bit tongue in cheek, hence the obvious Sydney cliches - don't go all sensitive on me now... feel free to fire back a few Perth jokes by all means!

No worries, I thought you might have thought ROKL was being serious and had turned feral.

It's a real shame that the two teams I'd prefer to win the GF this year out of the remaining teams are on the same side of the draw this week.

Which means this year's GF is going to be a battle between Good (Sydney/Freo) and Evil (Crows/Budgies)

                            We can outrun Sydney

                            We can outrun Sydney

                            by Troy Cook.

( Fremantle hardman Troy Cook says the Dockers plan to run Sydney off their feet in next Friday night's preliminary final at Telstra Stadium as the Dockers bid to reach their first AFL grand final. )

                            Link

Troy Cook also said in an article in the Sunday Times today.

Quote:" I don`t think the Sydney crowd will be better than the one over here at Subiaco. Our supporters over here are very passionate and they make a lot of noise.I doubt that the Sydney crowd can match them. ".

Article by TIM MORRISSEY.( Cook`s blunt assessment of the Swans fans has thrown down the challenge to Sydney to get rid of its reputation for having the tamest crowd in the AFL).

It's a bit like the Melbourne dude referring to the "rabid Dockers fans". That sure fired them up even more.

Ah, it's all gamesmanship... Cookie's a great club man and I'd love to see him hoist the Auld Mug high.

You're right, it's a real shame that we can't both be in the GF - what I really hope is that the Toast doesn't make it!
