    premliminary final 19000 tickets left

Heard on the 5.00am news this morning - 19000 left - hopefully a last minute rush to get the huge crowd.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Just heard that on the news myself. I guess final numbers will depend on whether or not stadium members turn up or not (I assume they are a different allocation to that 19000 remaining). Either way, sounds like a good crowd will be there.

It looks to me it won't break 70,000 mark.

to me the swans have 25000 hard core die hards in sydney.
the rest are melbourne based members, oposition fans then the hangers on band wagon type who have no idea about the game.
footy in sydney is about being seen at the footy
two thirds of the people who turn up to these big matches have no ^&*(@#$ idea, generally sit there and show little emotion unless the bloods are in front.

i see it every time the swans are in big games people sitting around you are better off staying at home with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

I have one ticket to sell which is a premium seat in Section 107. That's downstairs on the half way line.

If anyone is interested pls email me off list. Ticket is cost price.

I agree that there are lots of people in Sydney who jump on for the big games. It is annoying when you are totally into the game and you are surrounded by pretenders who keep going passed you to get drink, food etc. I reckon we will be lucky to get 70,000 there on Friday night.

What do we have to do to get the people to the ground. More talk by press/media?

Come on everyone get out there to support the red and white on Friday night.
                Love those Swans

It's Tuesday morning. It's going to be a hot week and the hype is only just warming up. It's a bit early to start thinking the game crowd will be a let down.

As TV and radio and print start the build up, the ticket sales will keep going. I think we'll go close to a sell out.

To be honest I still get excited anytime we have more than 25k people to a game.

I don't give a flying duck who comes or how "educated" they are about the game. So long as they cheer the red and white they are welcome.

                      We all started somewhere.

I must be one of those "hangers on" you talk about.

                        Membership doesnt suit everyone.

65,000 vs Freo is a huge crowd. We've been a little unlucky in drawing against low supported clubs in both prelims we've hosted. But one day we will sell it out, and that will be against a WC, Collingwood, or Essendon in a big final.

We need more media hype in Sydney. The problem is there's another Prelim final played that night at Aussie Stadium (Bullies vs whoever) and that is probably taking crowd away from Western suburbs.

I dont understand the pessimism or whining in this thread. 70,000+ is still very possible. And the same people complaining about a crowd less than that are also complaining about people who only come to games occassionally or big games. Huh?

especially at Telstra games. you often get these idiots sitting around talking about how their kids are going in school, work crap, blah blah, not even looking at the field. then the crowd roars and they turn around and ask "What just happened?" idiots!

Not that i give a flying @@@@, when i am at the game i am so focussed on it i am oblivious to my surroundings.

And none of the people around me will be able to have their mundane little chats over the top of my booming voice anyway!
