There are 83,500 seats, although a few thousand of them are fairly rubbish in the corners of the movable stands on the wings.

So 19,000 tickets left mean that 64,500 are sold.

    Unpossible math!

That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

So 19,000 tickets left mean that 62,500 are sold.
You really do have to hope though that they make the nose bleed seat tickets cheaper than $60 - its robbery to pay that much and have to take your own oxygen.

Think you will find the 62,500 sold theory flawed.

I would think that some of Freo's allocation will end up back on the market at some stage.

Hope we beat the Brissy PF numbers though

Is 83,500 the AFL config size? If so then then those "rubbish" seats are NOT included in the count (and not sold either). Those seats are the difference in the oval/rectangular capacities.

Ah, didn't know they didn't sell them at all, I just presumed they would be last to sell. If that's the case then whats the accepted capacity for footy?

And yes 83,500 is the overall total number of seats at the stadium (and the capacity for League/Union/Soccer mode).

I have a nasty feeling this crowd might be a bit disappointing.

Certainly not 80,000. I originally guessed 63,000, and I'll stick to that, but could be as low as 52,000 if Freo member tickets arent sold and not many of the Stadium members show up.

I think 60K would be our barometer as to good/bad crowd.

I believe Freo tickets have already been released to the public hence the increase in Premium tickets. I would imagine they might be just too pricey for them.

Just checked Ticketek for blocks of 10 seats out of curiosity....

Premium offered 20 rows back on level 6
Budget offered 20 rows back on level 1 (near the Swans CS)

I know which seats I'd prefer (and it's NOT the expensive ones)

if they get a crowd 60,000 plus the footy club should be very very happy

at the end of the day we are still a rugby league town.

remember if we were playing collingwood it definetly would be a sell out.
