we live in the harbour city and people just dont care
we are not a sporting tragedy that attends the opening a envelope that tens of thousands of victorians would.

as i said there are about 25,000 + genuine hungry australian rules football fans in this city
the rest are there for a night out.
    sydneyits just dont care

So if you can snag a cheap fare there'll be no dramas at this end.

            A harsh but realistic assessment.

But, if they want to turn up on a casual basis all happiness to them. It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

I think the fact that the game is on Friday night may have an impact because not as many supporters from Melbourne can fly up due to work commitments. I am unable to take Friday off from work so I unfortunately can't go to the game .

As TV and radio and print start the build up, the ticket sales will keep going. I think we'll go close to a sell out.
MMM Sydney have been running "go and get your tickets to the AFL final" ads all day. It's building.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

19,000 tickets left as of 5am today?

Still every chance of 70,000+ IMHO

Those were the days, when you had a whole bay to yourself.

I used to be able to prepare my canapes & gravilax on the empty seats in front, then serve the slightly chilled Pinot on the row behind. A veritable walk through buffet

                          Ah the memories

                            To right.

People I sit with at the SCG were served at 9:00am on Wednesday and were told there were no available seats in Premium. I had little hope by 9:10am when I was served.

The AFL knows that club members are desperate to attend finals and will accept the rubbish seats they are offered.

                            Cheers

                                Heavens no !

Sadly though, those were the bad old days when Iran was under sanctions and we could only get Iraqi rubbish. However, the quails eggs were easier to come by and the truffles were abundant.
