    Can I ask my dad?
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Note to self. "Don't irritate a white ants nest" They get irrational.

On second thoughts if I could spray the nest I would. The Swans don't need white ants.

You asked for a post grade-6 standard to be applied to your post, so I have corrected it - with the help of my mother of course.

AS (you forgot the s) far as the first half went I thought the team tried. The Eagles were hot but so was the Swans efforts. The Eagles got the breaks, (note: added commar) both with the bounce of the ball and some umpiring decisions, (note: another added commar) which although maybe not wrong were interpreted differently to things at the other end. We had Goldspink at our forward end who kept on holding up play and they had Vozzo who was allowing 'advantage' decisions we weren't getting. I commented to a friend at half (you had a d instead of an f in your original post) time that if it could go wrong it did go wrong for our team.

Interestingly, many of the same old 'white ants' have surfaced again in this thread as we have had during the year.
I'll give it another couple of H(again, you forgot a letter, this time a h)ours and I reckon they will all be out here with their knives.

I am glad the players are 'team players' because many of their so called 'supporters' on RWO sure aren't.
          Happy to help

I don't think anyone is saying they didn't "TRY". Of course they "TRIED". Big deal! Carlton "TRIED". It was pretty awful to watch - because they are obviously much better than that. Nothing wrong with being disappointed with them (I'm sure they are disappointed with themselves).

Having said that, I wouldn't go as far as to say I felt "let down" - I'm simply @@@@@@ off that they didn't turn up for the first half.

Oh Gawd, here we go again.
Where did Roos say "I'll go when they go"? Where did he even imply it? I have no problem with any of that article except that I'm not convinced that Spida can give us what we want.
And as for feeling let down by the players - I don't imagine anyone on this site feels more let down than they do about themselves.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                    Here. Try to keep up.

"I can't see myself leaving while Kirky [Brett Kirk] and Hally [Barry] and Leo Barry and those sort of blokes are involved in the footy club.

"The era might come when they finish that maybe I'll finish with them. I love coaching them, they are a terrific group of players and I love working with them and the club and the staff."

Actually, I am not sure that is correct (from our good friends at Wikipedia)...

"An is the older form, now used before words starting with a vowel sound, regardless of whether the word begins with a vowel letter. Examples: a light-water reactor; an LWR; a HEPA filter (because HEPA is pronounced as a word rather than as letters); a hypothesis; an hour. However, it is still often considered proper to use an before any noun starting with h, therefore a hotel and an hotel are both acceptable, but the latter is falling out of use."

He said he's not going to stay forever. You can't complain about that.

He's now given us a rough idea of when he'll leave. How can you complain about that? He hasn't said, "I really only like Barry Hall, so when he goes, screw the rest of you". He's merely given us a clarification of when to leave. It makes sense to me, I think that will be the right time for him to go.

And let us hope he get's us a bit more silverware before then!

I think if his comment was more along the lines of "When the current leadership group moves on, it may be time for me to move on also, but it's important to ensure I leave the club in good hands", I would have supported it, instead, it just sounds like someone who has created a boys club and he wants out when his mates want out.

I think Roos has done one hell of a job with this club, but I don't want to be thinking we have a coach that is happy to try and top up on premierships and then walk out the door with our current leadership group when they retire.

I can only imagine the type of abuse Lethal would have got if he made similiar comments after one of the Lions premierships. People would have gone on about him only willing to be around for the good times......

Terrible Thread. For crissake they got done by a point in what had to be the best grand final I have seen apart from last year.

As for Paul Roos comments, he always said he wasnt going to stay forever and who wants another Sheedy hanging around the club. He has done a job no other coach could have with a list that lets face did not look like premiership material.

Well done boys, you are the Rocket Racers of football.

he might leave and maybe he will finish, people keep asking how long he wants to coach he answers so what? i might leave my job next week, i would.

He built this side in to a competitive unit that won a flag, they were not terrible when eade finished of course, but they were not that flash, he can go when he wants. I dont see how him speculating on his future makes a bit of difference, he was speaking more of his love for the current group, then saying ill stay til we suck then im off.
