Come on NMW, are you saying our players didn't "TRY" in the first half? Do you think they deliberately made mistakes? Yes they fumbled, slipped and @@@@ed up, but it wasn't due to lack of effort.
Some of their tackling attempts shows there was a lack of effort compared to what we normally see. There wasn't the intensity or determination expected.

OK Cow, I've caught up.
But do you realise that the link you originally posted was to a different story in the Hun? Which was what I referred to - and on that story I stand by my comments.
As to the SMH story in your next link, I think the operative words are (from memory) "Hally, Kirky, Leo and those sort of blokes." (My emphasis). He then goes on to talk about the playing group in general. I don't believe the eager beavers in the seconds have anything to worry about, nor do the rest of us for that matter.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Something I live with is that if you are reallly angry enough to reply to a post and feel emotional about it, leave the reply 24hours and then reply when more rational. I'll be in Ballarat for the next 2 days so won't have a chance to reply, just as well probably.
I will say this though, go and follow Hawthorn, Essendon or Carlton and complain. FFS 2 GF's in 2 years and it's still not good enough.
I'll hold Paul Roos and the teams GF performance responsible if Santa doesn't come this Christmas or the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and the cause of my hangover on New Year's Day!
There, I feel so much better now.
Bring on trade week!!!!!
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Examples: a light-water reactor; an LWR; a HEPA filter (because HEPA is pronounced as a word rather than as letters); a hypothesis; an hour. However, it is still often considered proper to use an before any noun starting with h, therefore a hotel and an hotel are both acceptable, but the latter is falling out of use."
haha!!
We're both sad....
But, more on the pettiness - 'h' is pronounced "aich" unless you are catholic, in which case you are wrong about most things anyhow.

Yes I do. It just added extra emphasis to the fact that Roos has some fairly serious favourites. I assumed others had read the other story since it had been recently posted on RWO.
Who really thinks for a moment that the players went out there to lose or be happy with second place or only give a half arsed effort? I can say with absolute certainty that every player would have been prepared to give their all for a premiership.
The fact is the better side won on the day, not the hungrier or more determined side.
If you feel let down, empathise with the players for a moment.
Stop bagging your own team and start supporting them through the thick and thin. That's what it's about.

!!!!
What codswallop about catholics (or do you mean Catholics?).
The correct pronunciation is aitch but plenty of people pronounce it haitch and not just Catholics
This thread is crap.
I have a suggestion for you.
In 2007, get out from in front of your computer terminals, get selected to the team, train four or five days a week, make the senior team, play 22 weeks of home & away football, play four weeks of finals (or two or three), play a grand final and either win or lose.
How can you feel "let down by the players".
Sheesh.
No respect.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
