Did he lie to get Judd back in Brownlow contention? If that was the case, it sure backfired with Judd sustaining a groin injury and playing his worst footy to date and Brown might get suspended.
That's what you get when you help "protected species."
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Imagine what would happen if you were in court charged with something, got off and then your star witness recanted and blew your alibi???? You'd be charged again and the "witness" would be charged as well.
Why hasn't this happened?
And a fine, IMHO, is a joke. He's made a fool of the AFL and the tribunal and got away with it.
Wonder if Judd will be tipping in with some cash???

Actually, you'd only possibly be retried for certain serious crimes in certain states.
I would have thought that perjury was fairly serious.
The double jeopardy princople prevents retrial. Some states have changed their laws - South Australia moved to change their laws this month but:
The change to the "double jeopardy" principle will apply only to serious offences such as murder, manslaughter, the most aggravated forms of rape, serious drug offences and armed robbery.
Yes, the old "Did someone hit me? I don't recall." has got many a player off, or reduced sentence.
He was silly to admit to it on national TV. Very Silly. I wonder what advice his old man gave him after that show?
the AFL might send him and his Dad over to the US for some "lie rehab" - it worked for a bloke in WA who was known to tell a few fibs about not taking drugs.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
