Probably one of his best games for the season, although he did go missing in the second half.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Also moved it forward better. And against a few of our amateurs, his experience showed.

He took a contested mark in the forward 50 and kicked a goal. Did my eyes deceive me? Then again I saw Leo playing FF and Grundy playing FB.

The whole midfield went missing in the third quarter. Hence we lost the game. So he wasn't on his lonesome.

Mathews did have a pretty good game relative to the way the game went. Much more effective on Braun than in round 1 and provided some important touches in our direction too,

Another favourite whipping boy had a pretty good game too...so much so that he probably deserves his own thread for it.

It was the first time I can remember where multiple players were thrown forward and back to try and mix things up. Almost worked.

Mathews was good tonight. He was made to look as good as Chris Judd when you look at Paul Bevan's performance.

Except for a few monumental blunders, the rest of his game wasn't too bad.

Hmmm, I guess sometimes his experience comes in handy - He doesn't panic like a few of the others do.

I think he'll survive more than that.

He's "survived" for about 8 or 9 years so far
Wonder how long his protege will "survive" ??

Give it up people... Mathews had a great game and has continued on his path of improvement getting better each game this year....

Anyone who can't see that really does have an axe to grind and no idea about the game....
