Funny qtr - we went goal for goal basically.

I would love to see us kick say 5 or 6 to 2 or 3 in the last.

It would start to make up for the atrocious first 20 mins.

    Spida is killing em.

Bustlin' Barry handballs to Fearless who bends his snap back, going, going, going, ...... post. Deserved better.

Wow, McVeigh just knocked someone off the ball, Young I think.

What happend there? Commentators are saying the 50m penalty was because of something the runner said? Looked to me as though it was an angry Hall. weird

Fantastic stuff. Should give us plenty of confidence going into next week.

The only positive for Carlton, they've reached the ton.

Good win, although we started off slowly. We're back in the 8 now, as our percentage has passed Adelaide's.

Everitt, Schneider and Fosdike were good as was Kirk but that is the best game Jude Bolton has played for a long time - in and under and hard at it.

Carlton will finish bottom 4 for the next 2 years at least. Murphy and Gibbs will be good - when Carlton are better.

Forgot Malceski - he played a great game.

                      Sydney 25.12 162
                      Carlton 15.10 100

A very convincing win for Sydney. It's quite amazing that Carlton had a 26 point lead halfway through the 1st quarter but bounced back before the quarter. It's been a long time since we've scored over 20 goals but the margin should've been a lot greater if it wasn't for Carlton's start and their fightback in the 3rd quarter.

A real team effort with the likes of Malceski, Everitt, Kirk and even Jude Bolton playing great footy. The players definitely had their kicking boots on today with at least a dozen goalkickers and the defensive pressure was great with Barry and Bolton taking care of their opposite numbers. Spida and Jolly were too good in the ruck contests against second rate opposition but our midfield clearances could've been better. Teddy Richards had a very quiet game but I hope he makes an impact next week taking game-saving marks.

The largest score against Carlton and enough to be back in the top 8, next week will be a real cracker. Sydney should be really confident in taking down a form-plagued Eagles lineup with the likelihood of Judd out and Cousins still in doubt but with Kerr back. I'm expecting a much better performance from our boys next week than in Round 1.

I was amazed at that as well! McVeigh's now had two decent games in a row.

I hope McVeigh has a third "decent" game. Who knows? Maybe Cousins makes a comeback and McVeigh tags him to oblivion.

good win, but we smashed a pathetic rabble, if we win like that next week this season is back on track.

Once again the Swans didn't do any good until I gave up in disgust and went out into the garden. This week I murdered an agapanthus..it needed it.

So from now on rain hail or shine I will be gardening during Swans matches. If that's what it takes.

The bits I did hearfrom the neighbours radio...the commentators were beside themselves with Malcecki's kicks.
