On a more positive note, how good was O'Keefe in the first half!! Thought it was one of McVeigh's best games, he showed some genuine skill at times, his brilliant pick-up and perfect pass to Leo in the third showed it's worth perservering with him. Remember McVeigh snr was an ordinary player until a few years ago, maybe his little brother will also get better with age...Comment

If it was Judge Judy we were watching and the kept mentioning his possession count then I could understand the gripe. It was a football match, he was one of the best on ground. Kirk's possessions were largely junk too, and he didn;lt get anywhere near 40 of them...
Cousins is not a cheat as far as anyone knows. He tested positive to recreational drugs in the off season. He may well have a drug problem but it had nothing to do with his performance tonight.
I wonder why he ran from the Booze bus - hmmmm.Comment

John Worsfold may well use him differently to how Roos uses him, but to suggest he wouldn't make their 22 is... um... stoopid.Comment

Well mate, why do you consider breaking some rules cheating, but others not?
He carved us up because he is such a good player, and has been for years. The fact that he has (or had) a recreational drug problem is irrelevant. TO whinge about it is simply poor form from a supporter of a losing side.Comment

I'm disappointed in Everitt Jolly tonight, I thought Seaby and Cox especially dominated them quite easily and gave the Eagles midfield great service. Are they just flat-track bullies? Spida's big games have been against inexperienced rucks like Pattison and O'hAilpin.Comment

Exactly, so why did they keep focussing on HIM all night - from the intro, throughout the game and afterwards? They seemed to be treating him as someone who was coming back from adversity, which is what irritated me.He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

And who knows if he is over his addiction - he didnt get done last year so he may have a very good technique for getting over it - he has contacts as we know.
But, you stick up for him - he needs all the help you can give him.Comment

Jolly is a bigger worry - especially as it seems Doyle is finished. Who will be our ruckmen in 2009?Comment

As far as I know Cousins has not been suspended. I don't condone his drug use, I don't really care what he puts in his body. He played well. After missing 14 weeks of football I thought it was a pretty amazing effort. In fact, you could probably call it inspiring. It was certainly better than some of the insipid efforts of some of the "Blood brothers" this season.Comment

Actually West Coast did suspend him, but that was for missing training.Comment
