Me too. What is this obsession about winning on the siren? I'd far rather be so far in front that I can relax and enjoy the game.Insert Your Life [HERE]Comment

So is it really BBBBH's fault that they deliver the ball to him poorly and when he's under immense pressure when they should look for an alternative? I agree that they are to focussed on him and continue to kick it to him when they shouldn't, but that's hardly his fault. It's not like he's not going to lead. But the players sending it in should really look at all the options before simply bombing it into his vicinity. Time and time again they don't kick it to him when he's one out in the goal square or in a position to take it. Yet they DO kick it to him when he's two & three on one and completley out of position. WTF???
As average as his form has been, he can't be totally blamed when he's not getting a chance to get near the ball!!
Honey, what about what happens when he gets the ball. More often than not, he's kicking bee-hinds. You gotta get it between the two BIG sticks Bazza!!
Like I said, I'm over Bazza. He can go and sit in the back corner of my mind - with Davo.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Amen, it reminds me of one of my nanna's favourite sayings, when one team belts another. "That wasn't a game, it was a shame". Well, i can't disagree more, let's flog 'em!Comment

Take into account the fact we have lost more close ones than we have won. So if we are down by a goal with less than 3 minutes to go, be prepared to be crushed.Comment

We need to limit influence of Swan, Pendlebury and Goldsack (who was underestimated IMO). Also need to replicate our fwd pressure of Sunday and ensure the pies don't rebound so easily. MOL, Hall and Davis need to work hard in the F50 to keep the ball down there and force stoppages.
I think we have a good shot - I'm EXCITED!Bevo bandwagon driverComment

Another possibility for Buckley is Dempster. He's done some decent tagging jobs in his time and has the ability to play on Buckley either as a midfield tagger or as a defender if Buckley plays in the forward line.
However, I reckon Dempster might come into consideration for Rusling, if he returns from his injury. I put last time's loss down to midfield domination by the Pies creating far too many opportunities for their forwards, rather than their forward line creating chances out of nothing. But the one forward who was clearly a mismatch on his opponent was Rusling on Brennan. He was just too quick. Rusling doesn't have too many tricks in his book but his very fast leading is a pretty good trick if he's getting the service. I think Dempster has the speed to keep up with him - or at least, more so than Brennan - and his spoiling last weekend against the Hawks was sensational.
Another option for Buckley is our Mr Fixit man, B2. He's played on him before, and also has the advantage of being versatile enough to match Buckley wherever he plays. I guess we wouldn't want him out of our backline since he represents the only consistent face we've had there all year. But with Richards doing a decent job on Cloke last time, and the luxury of Leo and LRT back as well, maybe he can be spared.
I don't think Goldsack will be a match-up for us to worry about. His success has come in a primarily defensive role, with him doing a very good job on Magic the last two times we've played the Pies. You'd expect Malthouse to start with the same plan for Goldsack this time around, though some Pies fans are pushing Goldsack as a possible match-up for Goodes. (And I'd love to see that!)Comment
