    a team that might win

    B : LRT , C. Bolton, Faulks
    HB: Kennelly, Buchanan , Barlow
    C: Malceski , Kirk , D O'Keefe
    HF: R O'Keefe, Vogels , Davis
    F: Grundy, Hall, O'Loughlin

    Followers: Jolly, Goodes, Schneider

    Interchange: Everitt, White?

At least this way you bring in some new guys and give them game time, while retaining some of the better senior players, that way when the older guys retire you have new blood that can play well!

Amon isn't fit enough to play CHB in the modern game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Some of you guys surely are joking.

For a start Phillips has to be delisted - too small, too light.. Moore is too small. If you're very small you have to be an absolute champ. Phillips and Moore are battlers. Brennan is too small for a KPP and too slow for the midfield. Other delistings must include Simpkin.

IF DOK gets fit then he is straight in.

So long as he's not big in a Donk way.

And I am referring to his injuries.

That looks pretty similar to our starting line up last week.

Out of interest, can you provide match-ups to the pies side of last week ?

Players like Medhurst seem to be bobbing up and hurting us of late.

It's not that similar - it excludes Barry, Crouch, J Bolton and Mathews. It puts Barlow at CHB.

So you'd have something like Barlow on Rocca, LRT on Rusling and Richards on Cloke. Then Dempster could play on Medhurst and C Bolton on Davis or Buckley.

The team's centre line is more attacking - Malceski, Schmidt and Buchanan, in addition to Goodes and Kirk.

McVeigh plays as a small forward instead of a tagger.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

                      B: Teddy, LRT, Dempster
                      HB:B2,Cheese,Tiger
                      C: Melcho,Kirky,Monty
                      HF:Rok, Hall,Davo
                      F: Schneider, MOL,Spida
                      R: Jolly, Goodes,Timmy

Inter from: McVeigh(1 more chance), Brennan, Laidlaw, Jack, Thornton, Simpkin, White, Rowe, Vogels, Brabazon, Fossie,Noggy.

With the interchange IMO it depends on who we play, and weather conditions.

Leaping seems to be coping a bit. I still think he's our best FB.

Rocca would kill Barlow. LRT is a handy CHB, but so poor a FB that teams used to move their CHF to FF to expose LRT.

To be honest defense doesnt worry me. Between L.Barry, C.Bolton, Dempster, LRT, Richards, Kennelly, and Bevan its not an old line up, nor one challanged by height or speed.

Midfield and game plan are our biggest concerns. No defense in the land can survive without midfield pressure.

You might be right NMW i reckon we should get him on the roids and pump him up for next season. He has a good tank he will be able to keep up with most forwards and can rebound out of defence. His skills and marking ability will only get better, one would hope.Cheese and Tiger running out of defence now wouldnt that be a beautiful sight.

Adam Goodes can't do it alone, which is why Roos will move running defender "Melcho" into the midfield fulltime next season and look to trade for another quick outside running player
About bloody time Roosy has been reading my posts about "Melcho",throughly deserves his spot in the midfield.

Then maybe put him in the back pocket or out at CHB and change with Barlow. Or maybe leave him out of the team.

To be honest defense doesnt worry me. Between L.Barry, C.Bolton, Dempster, LRT, Richards, Kennelly, and Bevan its not an old line up, nor one challanged by height or speed.
It's massively challenged by height and size. It will do okay if the midfield holds up, but I think we can make it better and that's where Barlow (and maybe White) can come in.

Midfield and game plan are our biggest concerns. No defense in the land can survive without midfield pressure.
Which is why a lot of the guys on the bench in my list need to be given genuine chances next year to show their ability.

The current midfield is a disaster.
