Agreed. Let him go to Carlton and fade into obscurity. He's making the move now while he can captalise on his reputation. When Goodes has won his 5th Brownlow, people will be saying "Judd who?"Damn that Sorcerer! Twenty gold pieces and I'm wankered on rohypnol!Comment

Come on "Sane" you know he had a dud first half of the season because of woman troubles. If Judd had a bad second half because of a bad groin did Ms Twigley have a bad second half because of man troubles.Comment

Judd is going to have to realise that it's one thing wanting to leave but it's another selecting which team he wants to go to based on how close they are to a premiership. I reckon that sacrificing the necessary players to trade for Judd and to fit him into their salary cap structures would be almost the worst thing Hawthorn or Collingwood could do, based on where they've developed to this year.
There is one club that would seem to be an almost perfect match with Judd though and I wonder if he's giving them serious consideration: Namely Melbourne.
At the start of the year many pundits predicted they'd be leading the Melbourne club's charge, their performance this year was far below what they are capable of with fewer injuries. They have a handful of very good youngsters (I really rate Matthew Bate and Nathan Jones, plus Ricky Pettard looked very promising this year too) plus McLean who's almost a youngster. Building a midfield with those players working around Judd could quickly form a formidable onball brigade. They lack a marquee player of any note but have enough class in outside players like Bruce, Green and - on his day - Travis Johnstone to suggest that they could become a very good team quickly with Judd in their midst. And that lack of marquee players suggests they ought to be able to rejig things a bit to fit him in their cap.
They have the number 5 pick which is a decent starting point to negotiate a trade. They'd almost certainly have to give up one of their promising kids to get the deal done (whether to West Coast or to another club to on-trade) but I think they have enough quality left for it not to decimate them.
And reportedly Judd was a Melbourne supporter as a kid.
Seems like a much more appealing prospect for Judd than Carlton or Richmond and far more feasible proposition than Collingwood or Carlton.Comment

Come on people - we all know that if the price was right and Judd really wanted to come to Sydney - the club would fight tooth and nail for him and we, the members, supporters etc would greet him with open arms.
Despite the fact that all footy commentators have orgasms when they speak of Judd (which lets be honest we all found very annoying) the fact is that the boy can play footy. I reckon trade Bevan, Matthews, McVeigh & maybe LRT (ohh I'm waiting to be screamed down for that one!) for Judd, I for one wouldnt mind seeing him play in the red and white - better than seeing him play in Black and White vertical stipes thats for sure.
You never hear of him getting into any kind of trouble, and he seems to be a very humble kind of bloke, Obviously he is the square peg in the round hole and doesnt fit in with the "team of knobs" that is the West Coast Eagles.
And so he wants to be near his family- it may sound a bit mamby pamby but where is the crime in wanting to go home?. We all know that Anthony Rocca did it but then so did our own Nick Davis (but thats ok apparently). At the end of the day a person has the right to chose where they reside, if they get the job of their dreams at said destination - well good on them.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
