I wouldn't be anticipating that.

Why not? Roos has already said that we molded our game on the hardness and discipline of the successful Brisbane sides of 2001-2003, so it wouldn't suprise me if Roos now wants to take a leaf out of Geelong's book. Obviously it wont be as easy as just copying them and attacking more, we need the players that are capable of pulling it off, and i think Roos is building up to that.

Why not?

For a few reasons.

Firstly, I don't think it's smart to run around every year attempting to emulate the best team of the previous season. Imagine trying to copy Sydney, West Coast and Geelong over three consecutive year! Good luck with that.

Secondly, it has taken a long time for Geelong to breed a couple of Abletts and put their team together. It has taken them a number of years to get them to click. You can't get that together in one trading period and a summer of kick-to-kick.

Thirdly, I think there is still merit in the current Swans gameplan, although we need to be able to cover injuries or inadequacies in Hall, Kennelly and the ruck as well as win a few more centre breaks.
