    I get your point though.

Kind of funny reading this forum really. It seems everyone in footy rates Jude Bolton except for the folk at RWO. Is it you guys that are missing something, or the public?
I think its just a case of having too many of the same sort and the folks on here getting frustrated with the same type of players not perfoming week in week out.

The only thing I hang on him is missing a crucial goal or two in the 2006 (or 2005) GF.

I will miss him but oh well, if we get compensated its all good.

We see every game he plays. Other supporters see him in about 5 games a year (if that) and assume that he's a good player.

I rate Jude Bolton highly and would hate to lose him. But Travis Johnstone should be a no-no for our club. We don't want Johnstone.

The way he is being rated, i would prefer a 1st rounder.

            Likewise.

I can't believe how much he is overrated - especially down here.

If that happened, this will be the best trade week ever.

Gets a lot of junk possessions and when he takes a mark is one of these blokes who stands there for an eternity, cant kick for nuts and doesn't have the nous to run off. He can't buy a centre clearance and is an appalling kick for goal. Everything about his game has dropped off big time. Maybe Melbourne clubs think a refreshed Bolton would be a good one.

Also is easily tagged out of a game and really the opposition doesn't need a run with player to mind him because he is so slow.

I would be happy to see him move on and have this as his enduring image in my mind. Who knows, in a different set up he may thrive again?

This is usually the way with trades - you have to give up something of value to get something of value.

                          J. Bolton has given the swans great service over his career (187 games). Sure there are things that frustrate me about his game, but it is quite easy to be critical about every player when you want your team to win each and every week.

When Jude first started I thought that he was going to be very special as he went so hard at the ball and threw himself into the play. I thought that he would develop into a high quality midfielder who could possibly win a brownlow (I thought that he would be our version of the Hawks, Shane Crawford).

However, he did not really take that next step. He remained a good player who was hard at the play, but just didn't really do anything special with the ball, or with winning the ball, which is where I thought that he would improve.

I still like having him in the team, but he is just not that sort of player I thought he would become. He still has a lot to offer, but it is important with middle-of-the-road players to not expect too much.

As a supporter of a club (not a bagger) you invest a lot of yourself into the team and its players, so I would be a bit sad to see him go. I can understand from a list development perspective why they would look at trading him though. I like club loyalty however - and that works both ways.

If he wants to stay, I hope he can, but if he wants to leave then I hope we can get something good in return.

You guys have to see this thread, Jude Bolton could land us anything if the clubs feel the same way as the supporters. Help me build him up, it's fun!

Another bad year means he will have no trade value. I had already thought his trade value would be quite low this year, but since the Melburnites love him, lets get something for him now!
